Universities · Social media

Run one set of accounts that every school can post to without contradicting the others.

Social media marketing for a university means the university's public accounts, its schools' accounts and its student voices working from the same facts. GullySales sets the structure, the approvals and the content calendar so a post about a programme matches its page.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For universities

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Each department opens its own page and none is monitored”

Over time the university collects a dozen accounts with different logos, different fee figures and no one replying. A student comments with a question and waits for days with no answer.

  • “Posts announce events but never say how to apply”

A convocation photo or a seminar report earns reactions and carries no link to the programme. A parent scrolls past a lovely campus picture and still cannot find the form.

  • “Student takeovers run without a briefing”

A current student posting a campus day can show a rule being broken or repeat an old fee. The post stays live because nobody on the staff checks it before it goes out.

  • “Each platform reaches a different reader”

Parents read one platform, applicants another and research scholars a third. A single post copied across all of them suits none of them, and the comments fill with the same unanswered question.

What we do

What we deliver for universities.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Account map and ownership list

A list of every university and department account, who owns it, what it posts and which ones to merge or retire.

Result: Every account has a named owner.

  2. Approval path for programme posts

A short route from the department to the registrar's office for anything that states fees, dates, eligibility or recognition.

Result: Posts match the facts on the programme page.

  3. Content calendar by school

A calendar that gives each school its turn and points its posts to a programme page and a contact.

Result: Each post carries a next step.

  4. Student voice brief

A written brief for current students who post about campus life, covering what to show, what to avoid and who reviews it.

Result: Student posts follow the same rules as official ones.

  5. Comment and message handling guide

A guide that says who replies to which question, in which language, and when to move the person to a call.

Result: Questions on a post reach the admissions desk.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these universities.

  • State universities with many affiliated colleges
  • Private universities with a campus and hostel focus
  • Deemed-to-be universities with their own entrance
  • Universities with a dedicated research and PhD focus
  • Universities that recruit international students
  • Universities with strong professional schools such as engineering, law and management
  • Sector-specific universities in health, agriculture, technology or the arts
  • New private universities building their first admissions cycle

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the social media work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

Your brief

Tell us what you need, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps about your business, what you want and who decides. Most questions are a tap, and you can skip any you would rather answer on the call.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which platform should we start with?
The one your applicants already use to ask questions. Look at where your enquiries mention finding you. Start there, and add a second platform only when a named person can run it.
Can we post student success stories?
Education advertising rules differ by council and state. Do not state outcomes or placement as promises, and check with your own council or adviser before each post. Always get written consent from the student featured.
Should the vice-chancellor have an account?
Only if someone can maintain it. A leadership account works for announcements and public statements. It should link to the same programme pages as the university account and avoid saying anything the registrar has not approved.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
