Electronic components distributors · Email marketing

Send the shortage note to the buyers who build that board, and nobody else.

Email marketing for a components distributor means writing to purchase teams and engineers who asked to hear from you, with stock news and part availability that concerns what they buy. GullySales sets up the list, the segments by buyer type and the sender, so a mail reads like a note from your counter and not a flyer.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For electronic components distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The whole list gets every mail”

A repair shop owner and a purchase head at a contract manufacturer buy different parts. A single mail to both is wrong for one of them.

  • “The list is a pile of visiting cards”

Cards from exhibitions and counter visits sit in a drawer and a spreadsheet, with no record of when, why or whether the person agreed to hear from you.

  • “Mail comes from a free address and lands in spam”

A buyer who has never heard of the sender, with no company name and no unsubscribe link, deletes it unread.

What we do

What we deliver for electronic components distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A consent record for each address

Who gave the address, when and for what, kept beside the contact so you can show why you wrote to anyone.

Result: You can show why each person is on your list.

  2. Segments by what each buyer buys

Contract manufacturers, startups, repair shops, colleges and traders listed apart, and within them the families they actually order.

Result: A mail on connectors goes to people who buy connectors.

  3. A sender set up properly

Mail from your own domain with a named person, your company details in the footer, and sender authentication set up with your hosting provider.

Result: Your mail looks like it came from your company, and delivers as such.

  4. A shortage and availability note

A short format for telling buyers what is hard to get, what you hold, any alternative and the datasheet to check, written by someone who knows the part.

Result: The buyer hears from you when the news is useful to him.

  5. Replies read by someone who knows the parts

Replies go to a monitored mailbox, and a BOM sent in reply is entered in the enquiry log straight away.

Result: A reply to a mail starts a quote instead of vanishing.

  6. A record of which mails brought a quote request

Each campaign matched to the BOMs, calls and orders that followed it.

Result: You keep the mails that bring quote requests and drop the rest.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a components distributor needs before the first mail goes out.

A list of people who asked to hear from you
Use addresses from enquiries, quotes and invoices, and record the source and date beside each. Do not buy a list of purchase heads: it is the fastest way to a spam folder.
Data protection rules named generally
Names and work addresses are personal data under India's data protection law, and the rules change. Check the current position with your own legal adviser before the first send.
A sender the buyer recognises
Send from your company domain under a person's name, with the company, city and GST details in the footer. Ask your host to set up sender authentication so mail reaches the inbox.
Segments before the first mail
Split contract manufacturers, startups, repair shops and colleges, and note which families each buys. A passive-components note should not reach a student buying a board.
An unsubscribe that works
Put the link in every mail and remove the person at once. Add them to a do-not-mail list, so a later import does not bring them back.
Replies that reach a staff member
Send from an address a person reads, not a no-reply one. Set the rule for where a BOM goes when it arrives as a reply, and who answers it.

Who it is for

This is written for these electronic components distributors.

  • Authorised distributors for one or two brand lines
  • Multi-brand stockists of ICs, passives and connectors
  • Independent and excess-stock traders
  • Development board, module and sensor suppliers for startups and colleges
  • BOM sourcing and kitting firms for contract manufacturers
  • Repair spares and service parts counters
  • Relay, transformer, battery and power component suppliers
  • Importers who source against a customer's RFQ

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for electronic components distributors

  1. 1

    Audit the counter

A free audit of how BOMs and RFQs arrive, who answers them, how long a reply takes, and what your invoice history says about buyers who stopped.

  2. 2

Set the BOM and reply routine

A BOM format, a first reply that states stock and source, and one log that every request goes into.

  3. 3

    Make the stock findable

Part, brand and city pages for the lines that sell, with datasheet links and a stock status kept current.

  4. 4

    Follow every quote

A follow-up date on each quote, a reason recorded for each loss, and a call for the BOMs that went quiet.

  5. 5

    Report against the baseline

Enquiries, BOMs quoted, orders placed and repeat buyers reported against what was recorded before anything changed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we mail the visiting cards we collected at an electronics exhibition?
A card handed over at a stand is a reasonable start for one relevant note, but record where and when you got it, and keep the first mail about what that person buys. Add an unsubscribe line. Rules on consent change, so check the current position with your own adviser.
Should we buy an email list of purchase managers?
No. Bought lists carry people who never heard of you, mail from them gets marked as spam and your sender name suffers. Build your own from enquiries, quotes and invoices, and add buyers who ask by form or WhatsApp to be kept informed.
Is a newsletter better than a personal mail?
For a components counter a personal note usually works better. A short mail about a part the buyer uses, signed by a person, gets read. A general newsletter of brand announcements is skimmed and forgotten.
Why does our price list mail land in spam?
Common causes are a free email address, no sender authentication, a link-heavy price list and a list nobody agreed to join. Fix the sender first, send fewer mails to people who read them, and drop addresses that never open.
Can a local distributor compete with Mouser and Digi-Key?
Not on every part, and pretending so costs you credibility. You compete on stock in the city today, no customs wait, a GST invoice, cut quantities, credit for known buyers and a person who picks up. Put those on the page and in the quote, because the buyer is comparing against a global listing anyway.
Is IndiaMART worth keeping for a components counter?
It brings requests, and some are real BOMs. Many are price checks with no name or date. Keep it as one source, reply from the same log as every other enquiry, and track which listing enquiries became orders before deciding how much to put into it.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
