Electronic components distributors · Search engine optimisation

Be the page that comes up when an engineer pastes a part number.

SEO for an electronic components distributor is getting your stock to appear when a buyer searches a part number, a brand or an equivalent. These searches are narrow and exact, so a page with the right part name and a stock line beats a general home page. GullySales builds those pages from your own stock list and records which searches bring a call, a BOM or a WhatsApp message.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For electronic components distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The stock list is in Tally and the website has a category page”

A buyer searches STM32F103C8T6, not microcontrollers. With no page carrying that part number, you are missing from the one search that was ready to buy.

  • “The pages copy the manufacturer's text”

Google already holds the datasheet and the brand's own description. A page that repeats them adds nothing, while your stock, your city and your GST invoice are things only you can say.

  • “Equivalent searches go to a forum thread”

Engineers search for the equivalent of an obsolete part and land on a forum. Your counter staff know which substitute fits, but none of that is written on a page.

What we do

What we deliver for electronic components distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Part and family pages from your stock list

Pages for the fast-moving parts first, each with the manufacturer part number, package, brand, datasheet link, a stock status and a plain way to ask for a quote.

Result: A buyer who searches the exact part number lands on your page, not only on a marketplace listing.

  2. Brand pages that say what you are authorised for

One page per brand line, saying whether you are an authorised distributor or buy from the market, with the families you hold and the papers that go with the order.

Result: A buyer who asks for an authorised source gets a straight answer.

  3. Equivalent and substitute pages checked against datasheets

A page for each common replacement query, written by someone who has compared pin-out, package and ratings, with a note on what to confirm before fitting.

Result: The engineer who searches for a substitute reads your page, not a thread.

  4. City and market pages for local buyers

A page for each city you serve, with your counter address, working hours, courier practice and GST invoice terms, and for the electronics market you trade in.

Result: Buyers near you find a counter they can walk into.

  5. A page for purchase teams

How to send a BOM, the formats you accept, the brands you hold, the documents supplied and a number that a person answers.

Result: A contract manufacturer's buyer can start a quote without a phone call.

  6. A record of searches that led to an enquiry

Search Console queries matched against calls, BOMs and WhatsApp messages, so the next page is chosen by what brought business.

Result: You write the pages that earn, not the ones that were easy.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

The searches that bring a components buyer to a counter, and the page that answers each.

A full manufacturer part number with its package suffix
Give each stocked part its own page with the exact number in the title, the package, a datasheet link and a stock line. Check the suffix with care: the wrong package is the wrong part.
Brand plus family, such as an STM32 or ESP32 module
Build a brand page listing the families you hold. State plainly whether you are an authorised distributor, and link each family to its parts.
Equivalent of, or substitute for, an old part
Write the page only after a staff member has compared the datasheets. List what matches, what differs, and tell the buyer to confirm the fit in his own circuit.
Buy a component in your city, with a GST invoice
Make a city page with the counter address, hours, courier practice and invoice terms. Add the market you sit in, since many buyers search by market name.
Development boards, modules and project kits
Show what is in the kit, the module's pin diagram and the datasheet. Students and startups search by the board's name, so put the name in the page title.
BOM quote or bulk order from a distributor
Give purchase teams a page that says how to send a BOM, which brands you hold and what papers come with an order. This is the page a procurement head forwards.

Who it is for

This is written for these electronic components distributors.

  • Authorised distributors for one or two brand lines
  • Multi-brand stockists of ICs, passives and connectors
  • Independent and excess-stock traders
  • Development board, module and sensor suppliers for startups and colleges
  • BOM sourcing and kitting firms for contract manufacturers
  • Repair spares and service parts counters
  • Relay, transformer, battery and power component suppliers
  • Importers who source against a customer's RFQ

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for electronic components distributors

  1. 1

    Audit the counter

A free audit of how BOMs and RFQs arrive, who answers them, how long a reply takes, and what your invoice history says about buyers who stopped.

  2. 2

Set the BOM and reply routine

A BOM format, a first reply that states stock and source, and one log that every request goes into.

  3. 3

    Make the stock findable

Part, brand and city pages for the lines that sell, with datasheet links and a stock status kept current.

  4. 4

    Follow every quote

A follow-up date on each quote, a reason recorded for each loss, and a call for the BOMs that went quiet.

  5. 5

    Report against the baseline

Enquiries, BOMs quoted, orders placed and repeat buyers reported against what was recorded before anything changed.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a page for every part number we stock?
Not at the start. Begin with the parts that sell most and the ones your counter is asked for daily. A few dozen well-made pages bring more than thousands of empty ones, and you can add families as you see which searches bring a call.
Can we copy the datasheet and manufacturer descriptions onto our pages?
Link to the datasheet instead of pasting it. Copied text gives Google nothing it lacks, and brands set rules on how their material is used. Write what is true of your counter: stock, minimum quantity, city, invoice and who to speak to.
Is it worth writing articles about components?
Only when they answer a question your counter hears often, such as which substitute fits or how to read a date code. Posts written for traffic alone rarely bring a purchase. One honest answer on a real question helps a buyer more than ten general articles.
Whose name should the website and domain be in?
In your company's name, with the login held by the owner or a director. Many small distributors find the domain is in a developer's name when they want to change agency. Ask for the registrar account and hosting details in writing.
Can a local distributor compete with Mouser and Digi-Key?
Not on every part, and pretending so costs you credibility. You compete on stock in the city today, no customs wait, a GST invoice, cut quantities, credit for known buyers and a person who picks up. Put those on the page and in the quote, because the buyer is comparing against a global listing anyway.
Is IndiaMART worth keeping for a components counter?
It brings requests, and some are real BOMs. Many are price checks with no name or date. Keep it as one source, reply from the same log as every other enquiry, and track which listing enquiries became orders before deciding how much to put into it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
