Life insurance agencies · Local SEO

Be the adviser a family nearby finds when they search for one in the locality.

Local SEO for a life insurance agency is the work of appearing in map results and nearby searches, with a Google Business Profile that is accurate and a name, address and phone number that match everywhere. GullySales sets up the profile and the locality pages that support it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Life insurance advisors: show a real physical business scene illustrating Premium due calendar. List every policy by due date and mode, with reminders on WhatsApp and SMS before the date and again inside the grace period.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

Last updated 18 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For life insurance agencies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A parent wants to hand papers over in person”

A senior policyholder reviewing an old policy prefers an office with a landmark and a door they can walk through. A profile showing the address, the opening hours and a street view answers a question that no national website can answer.

  • “The profile is read before the website”

Buyers look at photos, hours, reviews and the answers under the map before they open a site. A wrong closing time or an old phone number ends the visit without the agency knowing it happened.

  • “Reviews in this trade need care”

Asking a policyholder for a review is one thing; what a review may say about returns or claims is another. Never write a review yourself and never reply with policy details. Check your insurer's guidance on both.

  • “Several advisers, several profiles”

When each adviser opens a listing in their own name, the listings compete and their details drift apart. Decide whether the agency has one profile or one per office, and let one person own the login.

What we do

What we deliver for life insurance agencies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Profile set-up and verification

The Google Business Profile claimed, filled in with categories, hours, services and photos of the office, and verified through Google's own process.

Result: The agency appears on the map with details you have read and approved.

  2. Matching listings

Name, address and phone number made identical across the directories and listing sites your clients actually use.

Result: One spelling of the address everywhere it appears.

  3. Locality pages

A page for each area you serve, saying where the office is, when advisers visit homes and which languages are spoken.

Result: A searcher in a nearby area finds a page about their area.

  4. Questions and answers on the profile

Common client questions answered on the profile in plain words, within your insurer's advertising rules.

Result: The profile answers the first questions before a call.

  5. A review request routine

A short message after the policy document arrives, linking to the review form, with no gift or reward attached.

Result: A request policyholders can answer from a phone.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Does the agency need a shop front to be listed?
Google has its own rules on which businesses may show an address, so check its current guidance. An agency with a staffed office can list it. One that only visits homes may need to hide the address and list a service area.
What if an old adviser's profile still shows our name?
Ask Google to remove or transfer the listing through the profile's own process, and tell the former adviser in writing. Until it is fixed, a client may call a number that no longer reaches the agency.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
