Life insurance agencies · Search engine optimisation

Answer the question a worried parent types at night, in the words they use.

SEO for a life insurance agency is the work of making your pages the ones a searcher finds when they ask about term cover, nominees or a lapsed policy. GullySales plans the pages, writes them to your insurer's rules and sets up tracking for the searches that bring enquiries.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Life insurance advisors: show a real physical business scene illustrating Premium due calendar. List every policy by due date and mode, with reminders on WhatsApp and SMS before the date and again inside the grace period.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

Last updated 18 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For life insurance agencies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Plan names belong to bigger sites”

Comparison portals and insurers fill the results when a search names a plan. An agency page has little room there. The open ground sits around the plan: how much cover a family needs, what happens after a missed premium, how a nominee is changed.

  • “Searchers write in more than one language”

A buyer in Karnataka may type in Kannada, Hindi, English or a mix on a phone. A page in one language misses the rest. Decide which languages your clients speak, and write each page afresh instead of pasting a translation under it.

  • “A claims question is a trust question”

Someone who searches how a family claims on a policy is deciding whether an adviser will still be there afterwards. A plain page on documents and steps, checked against the insurer's own material, shows that the agency stays.

  • “Rules come before keywords”

Every sentence on returns, benefits or claim records falls under advertising rules. The page plan starts with what you may say and who signs it off; keywords come second. A page that has to be pulled down helps nobody.

What we do

What we deliver for life insurance agencies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A map of client questions

A list of what clients ask on calls and WhatsApp, grouped by life event. It becomes the plan for which pages to write.

Result: A page plan built from real questions, not guessed phrases.

  2. Pages drafted for approval

Each page is written in plain language and sent to your compliance contact before it is published.

Result: A record of who approved which page.

  3. Language versions

Pages written in the languages your clients actually use, each checked by a speaker of that language.

Result: A Kannada or Hindi reader meets a page written for them.

  4. Titles, headings and links

Page titles and headings set to match how people phrase the question, with links that lead from a general answer to your enquiry form.

Result: Each page points to a next step.

  5. Search tracking

Search Console and analytics set up so enquiries can be traced back to the page that brought them.

Result: You can see which pages bring calls and which bring only visits.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can an agency page outrank an insurer or a comparison site?
For plan names, rarely, and no one can promise a ranking. We aim at the questions around the plan, where a local adviser's plain answer is useful. Search engines decide the order, and it moves.
Do we need a blog?
You need pages that answer questions. Whether they sit under a blog heading is a layout choice. A small set of checked pages is worth more than a long list of thin posts that nobody at the insurer has read.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
