Motor insurance agencies · Local SEO

Be the listing a vehicle owner finds when they search for an insurance agent nearby.

Local SEO for a motor insurance agency is the work on your map listing, your office details and your area pages, so that an owner who types a nearby search finds a real office. GullySales works on the profile, the service area and the pages for the towns and roads you actually serve.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

Last updated 18 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For motor insurance agencies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The owner who wants a person searches by place”

A buyer who dislikes portals types an agent's place name, or searches near the garage where the car stands. The map result is the first door, and an agent without a verified listing is not behind any door.

  • “A mismatched address costs a visit that never happens”

If the listing shows an old office, a customer arrives at a locked shutter and a better listing gets the second try. Address, floor, landmark and opening hours have to match the door, the signboard and every other site that lists you.

  • “Service area is a promise the office must keep”

An agency that lists towns it never visits draws enquiries it cannot serve in person. The area on the profile should follow where you collect documents, meet dealers and visit garages, with each named town given its own page.

  • “Garages and showrooms are places on the map too”

An owner after an accident searches near the garage. An agency named in a garage's neighbourhood, with an accurate listing and a claim helpline, is found at the one hour the owner wants a person.

What we do

What we deliver for motor insurance agencies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A verified, complete map listing

Name, address, phone, hours, services and a plain description of the vehicles you cover, entered once and checked against your signboard.

Result: The listing matches what a visitor finds at your door.

  2. Consistent details across directories

Your name, address and number checked on the main directories and corrected where they differ.

Result: One version of your office details appears everywhere.

  3. Area pages for each town you serve

A page per town describing how you meet owners there, which dealers and garages you work near and how to reach you.

Result: A search for a town finds a page for that town.

  4. Photographs of the real office

Photographs of the signboard, the entrance and the desk so that a visitor recognises the place.

Result: A first-time visitor can find the door.

  5. A reply routine for questions on the listing

A short rule on who answers questions and messages from the listing and how each one is routed to the caller.

Result: Questions on the listing reach a named person on your team.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a shop front to have a map listing?
The platform has its own rules about listings for businesses without a public premises, so check its current rules. An agency that meets owners at an office should list that office, and one that works from home should read the rules first.
Can we list several towns from one office?
List the towns you truly serve in the service area and give each its own page. Do not create extra listings for addresses you do not use, since that breaks the platform's rules and confuses the owner.
Will reviews be part of this?
A listing carries reviews, and you can reply to them. Advertising and testimonial rules for insurance differ by profession and regulator, so check with your insurer and adviser before you ask customers for reviews.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
