Motor insurance agencies · Search engine optimisation

Appear when a car owner searches for a renewal, not only for your agency name.

SEO for a motor insurance agency is the work of making pages that answer what vehicle owners search for: renewal, no claim bonus, add-on covers and what to do after an accident. GullySales works on those pages and on the pages for fleet owners, written within what your insurers allow you to say.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

Last updated 18 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For motor insurance agencies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The search is for a renewal, and the owner already knows the car”

People type a vehicle make with the word renewal, or ask what zero depreciation covers. They are not browsing insurance. A page that answers that exact question sits closer to a purchase than a general page about motor cover.

  • “Portals own the broad words, so the narrow ones matter”

A big platform will outrank a small agency for the plain word car insurance. The searches it handles badly are the specific ones: a lapsed policy, a transfer of ownership, an old vehicle that needs third-party cover only, a goods carrier.

  • “Add-on pages are read side by side with a quote”

An owner holding a portal quote opens a second tab to see what engine protect or roadside assistance means. A plain page with a worked example, marked as an example, is read and then trusted. A page of jargon sends the reader back to the portal.

  • “Fleet owners search in a different way”

A transporter looks for goods carrier cover, permit conditions or how to add a truck mid-term. These searches are fewer and the reader is worth more. They need their own pages, written for the person who runs the yard.

What we do

What we deliver for motor insurance agencies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each renewal situation

Pages for a lapsed policy, a vehicle change, an old car and a new purchase, each answering the question in the heading.

Result: A searcher with a particular problem lands on a page about that problem.

  2. Add-on explainer pages

One page per add-on with a plain definition and a worked example labelled as an example.

Result: A buyer can set your quote beside a portal's quote, line by line.

  3. Fleet and commercial vehicle pages

Pages for goods carriers, taxis and school buses, with the fleet sheet linked from each.

Result: A fleet owner finds a page written for that kind of vehicle.

  4. A title and heading review

Page titles and headings rewritten around the words owners use, in place of the insurer's product names.

Result: Each page names the vehicle and the situation in its title.

  5. Search tracking against a baseline

Pages that bring enquiries are read from your search console and enquiry record against figures noted before the work started.

Result: You can see which pages bring quote requests and which bring only visits.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can you get us to the first page for car insurance?
No ranking can be promised, and the broad words belong to large platforms. We write for the narrower searches where an agent's explanation carries weight, and we track what they bring.
Do insurer rules limit what our pages can say?
Yes. Advertising rules differ by profession and by insurer, and some wording needs approval. Check each page with your insurer and your own adviser before it goes live. We write to that limit.
Will premium figures appear on the pages?
Only as worked examples, labelled as examples and not as offers. A real quote depends on the vehicle, the insurer and the claim history, so the page should send the owner to a quote request.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
