NBFCs · WhatsApp marketing

Meet the borrower on the app they already answer, and keep every file moving there.

WhatsApp marketing for an NBFC is using the Business app or API for enquiries, document collection and status updates, within the platform's rules and the borrower's consent. GullySales works on the templates, the opt-in and the handover to your callers.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

Last updated 18 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For NBFCs

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The borrower answers a message before a call”

A missed call from an unknown number is ignored. A WhatsApp message from a verified business number, with the lender's name, is read and answered when the borrower is ready.

  • “Documents arrive as photographs”

Bank statements, identity cards and shop photos come in pictures. A set of instructions for what clear means, and a place to file each image, saves the second round of requests.

  • “Consent is not a formality”

Messaging a borrower who never opted in invites complaints, blocked numbers and a damaged name. Opt-in recorded at the first enquiry is the base on which every later message rests.

  • “Fraudsters borrow your name”

Imposters ask for fees on messaging apps in a lender's name. A verified profile, and a plain notice of what you never request, helps the real borrower tell the difference.

What we do

What we deliver for NBFCs.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business set-up

Profile, catalogue of loan products, greeting and away messages on a number your team answers.

Result: The borrower reaches a real lender profile.

  2. Message templates for each stage

Wording for acknowledgement, document request, sanction notice and status updates, cleared with compliance and submitted for platform approval.

Result: Messages are consistent and approved before use.

  3. An opt-in capture step

A tick at the form, the call and the branch, stored against the file.

Result: Consent is on record for each borrower.

  4. A document intake routine

Instructions on photo quality and naming, plus a rule for saving each file into the right record.

Result: Papers reach the case file complete.

  5. A handover between bot and person

Rules for when a message goes to a caller, and a note of the conversation so far.

Result: The borrower does not repeat themselves.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we send bulk loan offers?
Check the platform's current rules and your compliance head's view first. Unrequested offers breach consent expectations and damage the number's standing, so we plan for opt-in contacts and clear opt-out.
Do we need the official API?
For a small team the Business app is enough to begin. A larger team, with several callers and templates, will need the API through an approved provider, which we help you select.
Is it safe to collect documents on WhatsApp?
Treat it as a collection point, not storage. Move files into your secured system, and let your IT and compliance leads set the rule for what is accepted and how long it stays on a phone.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
