GullySales

Finance and insurance advisers · Branding

You sell somebody else's product, so the trust has to be yours.

Branding for an adviser is your own name, your registration and the way a proposal arrives, because the policy and the loan belong to somebody else. GullySales builds that set, from the WhatsApp introduction to the quote format, within the rules your principal sets on using their name.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Realistic editorial illustration of finance and insurance advisers at work in India

What branding means

Branding is what a customer remembers about your business beyond the product, including your name, colours, tone of voice and what you are known for locally. GullySales sets or corrects this once and applies it consistently across your website, signage and adverts so the business looks like one company everywhere.

For finance and insurance advisers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The insurer's logo is not yours to use freely”

Companies set rules on how an appointed agent may show their name and mark, and breaking them puts the appointment at risk.

  • “Your WhatsApp profile is the first impression”

A customer messaging a number sees a picture and a business description before you say anything, and most advisers leave both blank.

  • “A proposal that looks assembled beats one pasted into chat”

Three screenshots from a portal say nothing. One page with the cover, the premium and the exclusions says you did the work.

What we do

What we deliver for finance and insurance advisers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A personal profile carrying your registration

Your name, the registration or agency code you hold and the companies you are appointed by, set out as your principal requires.

Result: A customer knows exactly who they are dealing with.

  2. A quote format used for every product

One page per quote showing the cover or the amount, the premium or the EMI, the charges and the exclusions, with no promise attached.

Result: Your quote stops being three screenshots.

  3. A WhatsApp business profile written properly

Display name, description, hours and the introduction a new enquiry receives, set up so the first impression is not a blank number.

Result: A stranger messaging you sees a business.

  4. Rules on using a company's name confirmed

The marks, names and material each insurer or lender allows an appointed agent to use, checked with them and written down for your team.

Result: Nobody risks the appointment over a poster.

  5. Visiting card, office board and signature

The card, the board and your message signature carrying the same name, the same registration and one phone number.

Result: Customers find one adviser, not three versions.

  6. One name everywhere a customer checks

The same name and number across the listing, the WhatsApp account, your profiles and the material you leave with customers.

Result: Somebody checking you finds the same person.

How the result is measured

  • Recognition in customer feedback
  • Consistency across channels
  • Repeat enquiries by name

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Positioning in one sentence

Fill this sentence in as the adviser, and every card, quote and message will point to who you are and what you hold.

Who it is for, as a family or a business
Name the client: a salaried family buying a first health policy, a shop owner needing a working-capital loan, a retiree wanting a clear plan. An adviser who serves everyone is hard to refer.
What you do, and what you do not
Say it plainly: you arrange loans or advise on policies as an appointed agent or distributor, not that you are the lender or insurer. Use only the titles your registration allows.
What a client gets that a bank website or a comparison portal does not
Choose one thing: a person who reads the exclusions with them, who follows up on a claim file, who keeps the policy list for the family. Say it as a service, never as a promise of an outcome.
The proof you can show
Show your registration or agency code, the companies you are appointed by, and how long you have served. Use a client's name or story only with consent, and without implying that a result will repeat.
Words every adviser uses
Trusted partner, best returns and hassle-free appear on every card in the trade and some are limited by regulators. Replace them with the exact service and your registration.
The name and tagline test
Check that your own name or firm name does not suggest you are a bank, an insurer or an official body. Advertising and naming rules for this trade differ by regulator and change, so confirm with your own principal.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the branding work runs

  1. 1

    Interview customers and team

We talk to real buyers, won and lost, and to people inside the business who deal with customers daily.

  2. 2

    Review the competitive field

We look at how the nearest competitors present themselves so the position is not accidentally identical.

  3. 3

    Draft the position

A first version of the positioning statement and messaging pillars is written and checked against what customers actually said.

  4. 4

    Test it against real conversations

The draft is tried out in a real sales call or two before it is finalised, since a position that does not survive a real conversation needs rework.

  5. 5

    Hand over the rollout brief

The final position, pillars and not-for list are documented for your team and any agency to apply consistently.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we use the insurance company's logo on our board?
Each company sets its own rules for appointed agents, and some are strict about the mark and the wording around it. Ask your principal for what they permit in writing before anything is printed. The appointment is yours to protect.
Should I brand my own name or an agency name?
Customers refer to a person in this trade, so your own name does the work early on. Register an agency name once you have people working under you. Keep both on the card so neither gets lost.
Should I use my own name or a firm name on my cards and posts?
Use the name on your registration or agency record, because customers and your principal verify it. A firm name is fine if it is registered and you state your own name and code beside it. Do not use a name that looks like a lender or an insurer.
Can I use testimonials in my marketing?
Rules for testimonials and advertising in this trade differ by regulator and by product, and they change. Ask your principal or compliance contact before posting any client's words. When allowed, get written consent and avoid anything that reads like a promised return or a promised claim.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
