Finance and insurance advisers · Email marketing

A renewal notice with the policy number is the mail that gets opened.

Email for an adviser is a second channel behind WhatsApp, and it earns its place on renewals, statements and the papers a customer has to keep. GullySales sets the renewal and review schedule, writes the mail a customer will actually file, and reports on policies retained.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For finance and insurance advisers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Most of your book does not read email”

A two-wheeler loan customer will never open one. A salaried policyholder with a work address will. Split the list on that and nothing else.

  • “A renewal mail without the premium is useless”

The rival agent leads with a number, so yours has to carry the policy number, the due date and the premium quoted.

  • “The annual review mail opens the cross-sell”

A customer who took a vehicle loan two years ago has no idea you also do health cover, and a statement of what they hold starts that.

What we do

What we deliver for finance and insurance advisers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Renewal mails carrying number, date and premium

A message ahead of each motor and health due date showing the policy number, the date and the premium already quoted.

Result: The customer does not have to ask what it costs.

  2. An annual statement of everything held

One mail a year listing the policies, loans and dates a customer has with you, with whatever falls due next.

Result: A customer sees the gap without being sold to.

  3. The list split by who reads email at all

Customers with a work or business address kept apart from the ones who only use WhatsApp, so effort goes where it lands.

Result: You stop writing to people who never open it.

  4. A tax-season note in the right quarter

A reminder about cover and investment decisions ahead of the March deadline, sent only to the customers it applies to.

Result: You are in the inbox while people are deciding.

  5. A document request that keeps a file moving

A mail listing exactly what is still outstanding on a sanctioned file, with the deadline the lender has set on it.

Result: Files stop stalling on one missing paper.

  6. Renewals and replies reported

Mails sent, replies, renewals retained and cross-sell conversations opened, read against the retention figures recorded at the start.

Result: Email is judged on policies kept.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a finance or insurance adviser needs in place before emailing customers.

Consent and purpose recorded
Write down for each client what they agreed to receive: renewal notices, statements, review invitations. India's data protection law expects data to be used for the stated purpose, so keep it narrow and keep the record.
A clean split between service and promotion
A renewal notice or a premium receipt is service. A new scheme or a product pitch is promotion. Keep them in separate sends so a client who opts out of offers still receives what concerns their policy.
Rules for your licence checked with your body
Advertising and communication rules for advisers, agents and distributors differ by regulator and change. Check with your own regulator or body, and keep return promises, assured-return claims and misleading comparisons out of every mail.
Personal data kept off the subject line
Never put a policy number, a loan amount or a PAN in a subject or preview. Use a secure link or password-protected file for any document, and tell the client how to open it.
A sender and reply route that a client trusts
Use your own domain, a named adviser as sender and a reply-to that reaches a person. Clients ignore a mail from an address they do not recognise, and scammers copy advisers' names.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the email marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your list

We review who is on the list, how they got there, and how long it has been since they last heard from you.

  2. 2

    Audit past sends

We check open and click rates from past emails to see what has and has not worked.

  3. 3

    Segment and plan

The list is split into meaningful groups and a sending calendar is agreed.

  4. 4

    Implement content and automation

Emails are written, scheduled and, where useful, set to trigger automatically based on behaviour.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track performance and adjust subject lines, timing and content based on what the list responds to.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Our customers live on WhatsApp. Is email worth it?
For part of the book. A salaried policyholder files the renewal mail and finds it a year later, which WhatsApp does not do. A two-wheeler loan customer will never open one. Split the list and stop sending to the second group.
What goes in a renewal email?
The policy number, the due date, the premium and what changes if the policy lapses. Nothing else. The rival agent is sending a number, so yours has to carry one, cleared with your principal.
Can we email a client's family members about a new policy?
Only if the family member gave you their own address and agreed to hear from you. A client's consent does not cover their relatives. Ask the client to introduce you, and write to the family member in your own name.
Is it fine to forward a product factsheet to everyone on the list?
Only if it is the current approved document from the issuer and your regulator allows you to send it. Add the issuer's required disclaimers as supplied. Never summarise returns in your own words. Check with your own body.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
