Mutual fund distributors · Financial services
Keep the investor's SIP running through the bad year, and the next family comes to you.
An investor can open a direct plan on an app in ten minutes, so a distributor is not chosen for access. A distributor is chosen for hand-holding with the fund category, the paperwork and the SIP mandate. Above all, investors want a calm voice when the market falls and they want to stop.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph
Mutual fund distribution marketing makes you the AMFI-registered distributor an investor trusts to help them start and stay invested. The sales side turns that trust into SIPs and lump sums that survive a market fall. GullySales builds both inside SEBI and AMFI rules, with plain explainers, a referral routine and a review calendar for nervous months.
That value is invisible on a visiting card. Families who want help have to find you, and you have to explain investing without promising returns. Then you stay in touch through reviews, not only at the sale. All of it sits inside the rules the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) set for distributors.

How buyers decide
How mutual fund distributors are chosen.
Most new investors come through someone they know. A colleague mentions who set up their SIPs, or a CA suggests it after a tax conversation. Often a parent introduces their own distributor to a son or daughter with a first salary. The new investor then checks the distributor's ARN and looks them up on Google and LinkedIn. The real question comes at the first call: what did you tell your clients in the last market fall?
The triggers are life events and money arriving: a first job, a bonus, a maturing fixed deposit, the sale of a property, a child's education fund, or a retirement corpus. Tax-saving questions in January to March still bring ELSS enquiries from those on the old regime. Business owners often come when surplus cash sitting in a current account starts to bother their accountant.
The decision is closed at the first review meeting, often with the spouse present. Investors want to hear what the distributor will not do, such as promise returns or switch schemes to earn fresh commission. The one who explains risk plainly and sets a review date before leaving gets the SIP. Later, the same distributor gets the family's other accounts.
The problem
What usually goes wrong for mutual fund distributors.
What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.
“Investors stop their SIPs the moment the market falls”
After two bad months we get a wave of stop requests, and we find out only when the registration is cancelled.
“Young investors move to direct plans on an app”
The son of a client we have served for fifteen years opened his own account on a phone app and never asked us.
“Our reviews happen only when the client calls”
We have hundreds of folios but no calendar, so a review happens when an investor worries, not when it is due.
“We are not sure what we can post without breaking a rule”
We see others posting fund returns and tips, and we do not know which of it is allowed for a distributor.
“A maturing fixed deposit goes back to the bank by default”
A client's large deposit matures, they renew it at the branch counter, and we hear about it months later.
“Our referrals come from a few old clients and have slowed”
Most new families still come from the same handful of people, and nobody has asked the rest of the book.
What we do
What we do for mutual fund distributors.
Everything included for mutual fund distributors, and the result each part is there to produce.
Review calendar for every investor
A schedule of periodic review meetings and calls across the book, with a note of each investor's goal and the last conversation, kept in a simple CRM.
Result: Investors hear from you before they worry, not after.
Market-fall communication routine
Pre-written, compliant messages and a call list for the week the market drops sharply, explaining what SIPs do in a fall without predicting the market.
Result: Fewer SIPs are stopped in panic, and investors remember who called them.
Plain-language investing explainers
Short articles and WhatsApp notes on fund categories, risk, SIP versus lump sum, and exit loads, each carrying the standard market-risk disclaimer and no return promises.
Result: A prospect understands the basics before the first meeting, which shortens it.
Google Business Profile and local search presence
A profile naming you as a mutual fund distributor with your ARN, the locality you serve and how to book a first meeting.
Result: A family searching for help with investing nearby finds a registered person.
Referral routine with existing investors
A timed, simple ask at the right moment, such as after a good review meeting, plus a way to record who referred whom.
Result: Referrals come from across the book, not the same few people.
Maturity and money-event tracker
A record of known fixed deposit maturities, bonuses, policy maturities and property sales across client families, with a call scheduled before each date.
Result: Money arriving in a client's account gets a conversation before it goes back to the bank.
Compliance check on content
A review step for every post and message against SEBI and AMFI rules for distributors, covering the disclaimer, nomenclature and anything that reads like advice.
Result: You can publish regularly without drifting into content only a registered adviser may produce.
Report against the baseline
New investors, SIP starts and stops, reviews held, referrals and enquiries by source, reported against the numbers recorded at the start.
Result: You see whether the book is growing or only churning.
How the result is measured
- New investors by source
- SIP starts against SIP stops
- Reviews held against reviews due
- Referrals received per month
- Reply time to new enquiries
- Maturities converted into a planning conversation
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
Every service, written for mutual fund distributors
Each has its own page: what it involves for mutual fund distributors, what you get, and what it is measured on.
- SEORank for the paperwork questions, not for the fund rankings.
- PPCBuy your own name and the paperwork terms, and leave the rest.
- Lead generationThe enquiry is an introduction, and it arrives through somebody's client.
- Digital marketingBuild a plan a two-person practice can actually keep up.
- Reputation managementThe test comes on a red day, and that week is the record.
- Local SEOBe findable in the area where the signature is actually collected.
- BrandingEvery word on your card is a compliance decision as well as a design one.
- Social media marketingPost the dull paperwork answers and the right people ring.
- Content marketingWrite to stop a panic decision, not to start a new one.
- Email marketingWrite to the folio, not to a mailing list.
Worth a page and a campaign of their own
SIP starts for salaried first-time investors · Lump sum investment of maturing deposits and bonuses · Children's education goal planning · Retirement corpus and systematic withdrawal plans · ELSS for investors on the old tax regime · Debt and liquid funds for business surplus · NRI investment paperwork and KYC · Portfolio consolidation of scattered folios
Priority campaigns
Campaigns for what mutual fund distributors most want to sell.
Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.
First salary SIP campaign
Content and a referral ask aimed at the adult children of existing investors. It explains how to start a small SIP and why a distributor helps with the paperwork and the first bad year.
Result: The next generation starts with you instead of an app they found on their own.
Fixed deposit maturity conversation
A calendar-led outreach to clients with deposits maturing, explaining the difference between deposits and debt or hybrid funds in plain terms, with risk stated clearly.
Result: The client decides with full information rather than renewing by default.
Children's education goal campaign
Explainers and a goal worksheet for parents of young children, timed to school admission season when education costs are on their mind.
Result: Parents link an SIP to a goal they care about, which keeps it running.
Retirement income campaign for people in their fifties
Content on building and later drawing from a retirement corpus, reaching pre-retirees through referrals, LinkedIn and employer seminars where allowed.
Result: Retirees-to-be plan early instead of arriving with a lump sum and no plan.
Business surplus cash campaign
Outreach through CAs to business owners with idle current account balances, explaining liquid and short-duration funds and their risks.
Result: Owners see a considered option for treasury money that their accountant can support.
Beyond search
Where we reach buyers of mutual fund distributors, beyond Google.
Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.
Chartered accountants and tax practitioners
We prepare a referral arrangement and an introduction note for CAs whose clients ask where to invest after filing returns.
Employer financial literacy sessions
We prepare a non-promotional investor awareness session for small and mid-sized employers, with a follow-up for employees who want a meeting.
Resident welfare associations and senior citizen groups
We prepare a talk on basics such as KYC, nomination and avoiding investment fraud for apartment and senior citizen forums.
Real estate agents and property lawyers
We prepare a referral routine with professionals who see clients receiving large sums from a property sale.
NRI families through their parents in India
We prepare material on NRI KYC and repatriation paperwork, shared through existing clients whose children live abroad.

Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
- You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
- You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.
How it works
From your first message to the first report.
No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.
First
Your brief
You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.
After the brief
A conversation and a written scope
We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.
Before work starts
Baseline recorded
The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.
After the baseline
The first fix goes live
The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.
As agreed
Report against the baseline
What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.
At renewal
Renew on the numbers
The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.
How the work runs for mutual fund distributors
- 1
Assess
We look at your book, SIP stops, review frequency, referral sources, reply time and what you currently publish.
- 2
Set the review calendar
A schedule and CRM so every investor is reviewed on time, and a routine for market falls.
- 3
Write the explanations
Plain, compliant content on fund categories, risk and goals, checked for disclaimer and nomenclature before it goes out.
- 4
Bring investors in
Referral routines with investors and CAs, local search, and awareness sessions where the audience already trusts the host.
- 5
Keep them invested
Money-event tracking, goal reviews and a steady, calm voice, so SIPs last and families add accounts.
Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
One office, and we say so
