Mutual fund distributors · Social media

Post the dull paperwork answers and the right people ring.

Social media for a distributor is narrow ground, because a post about returns or a named scheme draws exactly the attention you do not want. GullySales builds a posting plan around behaviour and process, adds an approval step, and has the falling-market message ready in advance.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For mutual fund distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The dull posts bring the clients you want”

A note on how a mandate is changed reaches somebody with a folio and a problem. A post about a top scheme reaches somebody chasing last year.

  • “Status reaches your own book, where introductions start”

The people who already trust you see it without any spend. They are also the only people who will ever introduce you to anybody.

  • “Association with an unregistered voice is your risk”

Who a registered person may work with on investment content is a live question. The consequence lands on your ARN, so ask before agreeing to anything.

  • “The week to post is the week everybody goes quiet”

Markets fall, distributors stop posting, and investors are left reading strangers. That gap is the whole opportunity here.

What we do

What we deliver for mutual fund distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A posting plan built on process and behaviour

Topics drawn from what investors actually ask in meetings, with the disclaimer inside the template so nothing goes out without it.

Result: You publish regularly without inventing topics.

  2. A Status plan aimed at your existing book

Short updates to the people who already have your number, timed around review season, statement season and the weeks markets move.

Result: The people most likely to introduce you hear from you.

  3. An approval step before a post goes out

Each piece checked for nomenclature, disclaimer and anything reading as a recommendation, with the approval and its date recorded.

Result: Regular posting stops threatening your registration.

  4. A falling-market message written in advance

The post, the broadcast and the call script prepared and reviewed before they are needed, so a bad week takes minutes rather than an afternoon.

Result: You are visible on the day it counts.

  5. A written position on collaborations and paid promotion

What you will and will not do with third-party creators and paid posts, settled with your compliance adviser before anybody approaches you.

Result: You have an answer ready when the offer comes.

  6. A count of meetings that began with a post

Which pieces were seen before somebody rang, and how many first meetings followed, against the figures taken before the work began.

Result: Posting gets judged on meetings.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Platform for this buyer

Where an investor sees a distributor, and what a post may carry.

WhatsApp Status for clients already in your book
Share a plain note on why a SIP continues through a fall, or a reminder to update nominee and KYC details. The action wanted is a reply or a call from someone you already serve.
LinkedIn for business owners and salaried professionals
Post what you explain in meetings: how goals decide the fund, how to read a statement, what an asset allocation review covers. The action is a message asking for a conversation, never a scheme.
YouTube explainers on process
Explain how a SIP mandate works and what regular and direct plans mean. Keep to process and investor behaviour, and add the standard risk line your own compliance note requires.
Instagram cards for first-time investors
Answer questions a new investor asks, such as what NAV means or what happens when a SIP is paused. Each card ends with an invitation to book a call, never a link to a named scheme.
What not to post
Do not post scheme names with past returns, top fund lists, 'best fund' claims or a client's portfolio. Check every post against the regulator's and AMFI's advertising rules, which change, and your own compliance note.

  • New distributors in their first years after NISM certification

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the social media work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we work with a finance content creator?
Check before you agree, because who a registered person may associate with on investment content has been a live question. The consequence lands on your registration and not theirs. Put it to your compliance adviser first.
The market fell five percent today. What do we post?
Something calm about what a fall does to a running SIP, with no prediction of what comes next. Write it now, while the market is quiet, and have it reviewed. On the day itself there will be no time.
Should we have a personal profile as well as a firm page?
Keep both, with different jobs. Clients trust a person, so your own profile carries your explanations. The firm page carries registration details and disclosures. Use one set of approved wording on both, and never post views from the personal profile that you would not post from the firm.
A follower comments asking which fund to buy. What do we reply?
Do not name a fund in a public comment. Reply that suitability depends on the person's goals and comfort with risk, and invite them to message or call. Move the conversation to a private channel, keep a note of it, and follow your firm's compliance process.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
