Doctors and general clinics · Digital marketing

Spend on being reachable before you spend on being seen.

Digital marketing for a general clinic is the plan across the listing, the site, WhatsApp and reminders, decided inside your council's conduct rules. GullySales sets the order of work, puts the seasonal pushes where your city's fever and school months fall, and keeps every line yours.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

Last updated 17 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For doctors and general clinics

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A clinic has two rush seasons and both are known in advance”

The fever months and the weeks before schools reopen fill an OPD, so the listing, the timings and the staffing have to be ready beforehand.

  • “Most of the budget should never leave the front desk”

A missed call costs a family that might have stayed fifteen years, and no advertising buys that back.

  • “Two readers, one page”

The patient decides on distance and hours while a son in another city checks the qualification and pays, and both open the same page.

What we do

What we deliver for doctors and general clinics.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A written order of work, cheapest first

The listing, the phone, WhatsApp and the site fixed before money goes anywhere near advertising, with the reason for that order put in writing.

Result: You spend on the cheap fixes while they still work.

  2. A calendar built on your city's seasons

Fever months, school reopening, vaccination drives and the annual check month, each with what goes out and what the desk needs ready.

Result: The clinic is prepared before the rush rather than during it.

  3. One set of facts used everywhere

Timings, doctors, services and charges written once and pushed to the site, the listings and the saved WhatsApp replies so they cannot drift apart.

Result: A patient reads the same hours wherever they look.

  4. Consent recorded at registration

A line on the registration form and in the clinic software recording who agreed to receive reminders, and a way to stop them when asked.

Result: Reminders go only to families who asked for them.

  5. Every page and message approved by the doctor

A review step before anything is published or sent, with your council's conduct rules in front of you rather than assumed by us.

Result: Your registration is not carrying somebody else's wording.

  6. One report the doctor can read in five minutes

Calls answered, appointments by source, follow-ups kept and reviews on a single page, set against the baseline recorded before work started.

Result: You know what changed without opening a dashboard.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where to start for a clinic

Fix how patients reach the clinic before you pay to be seen.

Order of work for a general clinic, with the record to keep at the front desk for each step.

Google Business Profile
Check the name, OPD timings, Sunday and evening hours, phone number and map pin against the door. Note the calls and direction requests the profile shows, and compare them with the register.
The phone during OPD
Decide who answers when the doctor is with a patient and what they say. Keep a tally of missed calls on a sheet at the desk for a few days, so you know the size of the gap.
Registration form
Add a tick box for how the patient heard of you and another for agreeing to reminders. This one form tells you what worked and gives you consent you can show.
WhatsApp Business for patients
Set up the clinic number with a greeting, timings and address. Message only people who agreed at registration, and keep the doctor's approval on any standing reply.
One page per service you offer
Write a short page for each service, such as diabetes follow-up or child check-ups, in the doctor's words. Check each against your council's current advertising rules and note which page patients mention.
What to leave until later
Paid ads, video series and a large website. Advertising rules for the profession differ by state and body, so get the council's view before any paid push, and fix the phone first.

Who it is for

This is written for these doctors and general clinics.

  • Single-doctor family and general practice clinics
  • Polyclinics with visiting consultants
  • Physicians and internal medicine consultants in private practice
  • Paediatric and child health clinics
  • Diabetes and lifestyle disease clinics
  • Home visit doctors and home nursing services
  • Home sample collection and diagnostic partner centres
  • Medical equipment rental and home care providers
  • Corporate and occupational health service providers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The Maps listing, the board and the website give three different sets of timings, and spending on any channel would send patients to the wrong one.
  • The clinic is a single room where the doctor answers the phone between patients, and a larger plan would add work with nobody to do it.
  • You want advertising to start straight away, before the doctor has read what the council's rules allow.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We are a single-doctor clinic. Is any of this worth it?
The listing, the phone routine and the follow-up register are. Advertising and social media mostly are not, at least at first. We would rather say that in the first conversation than take a fee for posting.
What is the first thing to fix?
Whatever loses patients fastest, which is almost always the unanswered call during OPD hours. After that it is the listing, because wrong Sunday timings turn families away for years. Neither costs advertising money.
Should the front desk or an outside agency write our patient messages?
Keep replies and reminders with your own staff, because they know the patient and the doctor must approve the wording. An outside firm can help with set-up and the listing. Whoever writes it, the doctor reads it first, and your council's advertising rules apply.
How do I know whether a patient came from Google, WhatsApp or a neighbour?
Ask at registration and tick it on the form, then add up the ticks for a season. Patients forget, so also note the number they called from. Your own register will tell you more than any platform dashboard, and it covers paid and unpaid together.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
