Doctors and general clinics · Search engine optimisation

Be found for the symptom and the hour, not only for the doctor's name.

SEO for a general clinic is appearing when somebody nearby searches for a doctor at nine in the evening, or looks up home care after a discharge. GullySales builds the factual pages the conduct rules allow and checks the wording with you before anything goes live.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

Last updated 17 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For doctors and general clinics

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A clinic cannot publish the pages an agency will propose”

Best treatment and top doctor pages are the claims of superiority your council's conduct rules are concerned with, and the registration behind them is yours.

  • “The doctor's page is read by a son in another city”

Qualification, registration details and sitting days on one page per doctor settle what an adult child is checking before booking for a parent.

  • “Home care is searched with a price already in mind”

A family after a hospital discharge types the service and the area, then books whoever states charges plainly, which a clinic page rarely does.

What we do

What we deliver for doctors and general clinics.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each doctor, with qualification and registration

Name, degrees, registration details, sitting days and the conditions each doctor sees, written factually and read against your council's conduct rules with you.

Result: A family can check the doctor before the first visit.

  2. Service pages carrying areas, timings and charges

Separate pages for home visits, home nursing, sample collection and health checks, each stating where you go, at what hours and at what cost.

Result: A family deciding in a hurry finds the answer on the page.

  3. Timings written so a search at night can use them

OPD hours for each doctor, the lunch break, Sunday sessions and holiday closures, written on the site in the same words as on the listing.

Result: Nobody rings at seven to learn you closed at six.

  4. Wording reviewed before anything is published

Every page read against your council's professional conduct rules and shown to you first, with comparisons and claims taken out of the draft.

Result: You approve the words that carry your registration.

  5. A technical pass for a phone on mobile data

Page speed, the click-to-call button, the map link and any pages search engines could not reach, all checked and corrected.

Result: A parent on a slow connection still reaches the call button.

  6. Report of calls traced to search

Calls, direction requests and appointment enquiries traced to each page and read against the baseline recorded before the work began.

Result: You see which page brings families in.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a family types when someone is unwell, and the page that answers it.

child specialist open now near me
A clinic page with the OPD hours of each doctor in plain text, including evenings and Sundays, exactly as they sit. Match it to the Maps listing so a late search does not find a closed sign.
diabetes doctor for senior citizens in Jayanagar
A clinic-service page. Say what a first visit includes, which routine tests are done in the clinic or through a partner lab, and how repeat visits are booked.
Dr [name] MBBS MD physician registration
The doctor's page. Give the qualification and registration details as issued by the council, the areas of practice and the languages spoken. A son checking on a parent's doctor wants to verify.
home nursing after surgery charges
A home care page. List the kinds of care, whether charged by hour or by day, what the family arranges and what the nurse brings. Searchers arrive with a price in mind.
blood test at home near me
A sample collection page. Name the partner lab, the areas covered, the collection hours and how the report reaches the patient.
fever for three days when to see a doctor
A short advice page by the doctor. List signs that mean come in today and invite a call. Keep it general, with no prescribing and no diagnosis by page.

Who it is for

This is written for these doctors and general clinics.

  • Single-doctor family and general practice clinics
  • Polyclinics with visiting consultants
  • Physicians and internal medicine consultants in private practice
  • Paediatric and child health clinics
  • Diabetes and lifestyle disease clinics
  • Home visit doctors and home nursing services
  • Home sample collection and diagnostic partner centres
  • Medical equipment rental and home care providers
  • Corporate and occupational health service providers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • No one at the clinic has read the council's conduct rules on publishing, so every page would wait for a review before it could go live.
  • The clinic phone goes unanswered through the OPD, so more searchers would reach a line that rings out.
  • You want pages that call the doctor the best in town, which the conduct rules do not permit and which a page cannot support.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Are we allowed to do SEO at all as a doctor?
Factual information about you, your qualifications, your timings and your address is a different thing from soliciting patients. Where the line falls sits in your council's conduct rules, which have been revised and stayed in recent years. We check the position in force with you, and your council or your own adviser has the final word.
Should we write articles about diseases?
Only factual ones, with no cure claims and no named medicine, and only where a doctor in the clinic reviews them. A page explaining what to bring for a school medical earns more calls than a general article on diabetes. Start with the practical pages.
Should every doctor in our polyclinic have a separate page?
Yes, for every doctor who sees patients. Each page carries that doctor's qualification, registration details, days and hours. It stops patients arriving on the wrong day and lets a search by doctor's name find the right person.
Who should own the website and the Google listing, the clinic or the agency?
The clinic, always. Register the domain and the Business Profile in the doctor's or the clinic's name, and keep the logins with the owner. Anyone you work with should be added as a user, never as the account holder.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
