Pharmacies · Reputation management
You cannot answer a review by naming what the customer bought.
A chemist's reply to a public complaint has to stay away from the medicine, the condition and the patient, which rules out the detailed answer most trades give. GullySales writes replies that work inside that limit, and fixes the substitution and stock-out habits behind most complaints.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means
Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.
Last updated 17 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.
For pharmacies
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“Confirming what somebody bought is the mistake”
The natural reply names the item and the date. In this trade that is a patient's private information, published by you.
“Almost every one star is a stock-out or a bill”
The customer came twice and you did not have it, or an app quoted less. Neither is about the pharmacist and both are fixable at the counter.
“Your most loyal customers will never write a review”
The regular who has bought from you for ten years does not use Maps. The ask has to be made by hand, at the counter, by somebody they know.
“A substitute complaint is a conversation nobody had”
The customer wanted the brand the doctor wrote. Told at the counter, that is a choice. Discovered at home, it is a review.
What we do
What we deliver for pharmacies.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
A review ask made when the order went right
At the counter after a smooth purchase, or on delivery when the slot was kept, with a short link on the bill rather than a message days later.
Result: Reviews come from the moments you handled well.
A reply template that names nothing
A short public answer that thanks, regrets the experience and offers a direct number, with no mention of any medicine, condition or date of purchase.
Result: You reply without publishing somebody's private details.
A substitution script used before billing
The words the counter uses to explain a substitute, the price difference and the option to wait, said before the bill is made rather than after.
Result: The commonest complaint stops being generated.
A stock-out routine with a time attached
Instead of a plain no, the date it will arrive, an offer to deliver it and a call when it lands, noted in a small register at the counter.
Result: Customers wait for you rather than walking on.
A watch on the shop name
The shop name, the spellings people actually use and the owner's name checked once a week across Maps, JustDial and the review sites.
Result: Nothing about the shop stands unanswered for a month.
A read of complaint reasons
Complaints counted by cause, whether stock, billing, substitution, delivery or staff, and taken to the counter team instead of filed away.
Result: The cause gets fixed instead of answered.
How the result is measured
- Average rating
- Response time to reviews
- Negative mentions resolved
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What to do with each review
How to answer customers' reviews without discussing any patient's medicines.
- Praise from a regular customer
- Thank them for trusting the shop and do not name a medicine or a condition. Ask whether they would add the area and the service, such as home delivery or late-night service.
- Complaint that a medicine was out of stock
- Reply that you will check with the supplier, and invite them to leave a number. Check the stock register for how often that item runs out, and reorder levels.
- Complaint about a wrong or substituted medicine
- Ask them to bring the strip and the prescription. Do not discuss the medicine in public. Check the bill, the prescription and what the pharmacist dispensed, and speak to the staff.
- Complaint about price or the MRP
- Reply that the price follows the printed MRP and the bill. If a discount differs from what a customer expected, offer to explain it. Check the billing software for the discount slab.
- Complaint about rude counter staff
- Apologise in a line and ask them to call the owner. Speak to the person on duty that day. Add a short rule for the counter, such as greet and ask for the prescription politely.
- Review that looks fake or from a rival shop or app
- Match the name against your bills or delivery records. If nothing matches, report it through the platform's own process and reply once, stating you cannot find a bill.
Who it is for
This is written for these pharmacies.
- Independent neighbourhood chemists
- Pharmacies attached to a clinic or nursing home
- Hospital pharmacies serving outpatients
- Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras and generic medicine stores
- Multi-outlet local pharmacy chains
- Franchise outlets of national pharmacy brands
- Surgical and medical equipment stores
- Pharmacies stocking Ayurvedic and homoeopathic medicines
- Twenty-four hour and late-night pharmacies
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- Nobody is willing to reply without naming the medicine or the customer, so any reply would breach their privacy.
- You plan to ask for reviews only from people who bought a particular medicine, which links health information to a public post.
- The delivery boy and the counter staff are not yet briefed, so reviews would keep repeating the same complaint.
How it works
How the reputation management work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Search your name as a stranger would
We search the business, its main product names and the owner's name, on a phone and a laptop, and record what appears.
- 2
Catalogue every mention
Reviews, news, listings, social posts and forum threads are sorted into accurate and positive, accurate and negative, and wrong. Each group gets a different action.
- 3
Agree the replies and the owner of each
Replies are drafted and approved by you. Anything involving a refund, a clinical matter, a legal claim or a named employee goes to the right person in your business before anything is posted.
- 4
Fix what you control
Listings, profile details and your own pages are corrected, and pages worth ranking for your name are strengthened with accurate information.
- 5
Monitor and report
The agreed places are checked on the agreed schedule. The name search is repeated and compared with the first record.
