Convention hotels · Lead generation

Bring in enquiries from the people who actually book a conference hall.

Lead generation for a convention hotel means reaching the corporate admin, the association secretary and the event agency before the date is given to another venue. GullySales builds the planner list, the enquiry page and the outreach that put your halls in front of those buyers.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For convention hotels

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The enquirer is not always the decision-maker”

The person who emails for a quote may be an executive assistant collecting three rates for a manager. If the hotel records only the sender, the real approver stays unknown, and the follow-up goes to the wrong desk.

  • “Agencies bring repeat business, corporates bring the date”

An event agency may place several clients across the year, while a corporate admin owns one annual meet. Each needs a different pitch: layouts and lift-ready rates for the agency, a clear package and dates for the admin.

  • “A date and a headcount are the real enquiry”

A planner who gives a date and a seating count is ready to compare. One who asks for a brochure is still choosing a city. The two should be answered and tracked differently.

  • “Last year's events are the cheapest leads you own”

Every company that held an event in your halls has an event month that comes round again. Without a record of who booked what, that knowledge sits in one sales manager's memory.

What we do

What we deliver for convention hotels.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A planner target list

Corporate admin heads, agencies, associations and training departments in your city and region, with the events each has held before.

Result: Every name has a company, an event type and the month the last event took place.

  2. An enquiry page built for a quote request

A short form asking for date, headcount, layout, rooms needed and who approves, placed beside the hall guide.

Result: An incoming enquiry carries the details a sales manager needs to quote without a first call to ask.

  3. Source tagging on every enquiry

Each enquiry marked as search, agency, referral, past client or walk-in when it is logged.

Result: You can see which source brought the enquiries that became bookings.

  4. An outreach sequence for planners

Emails and calls to the list, written around the event types each planner handles, with a hall pack attached.

Result: Each planner on the list has a recorded first contact and a next step.

  5. A past-client reminder list

The companies that held events in your halls, sorted by event month, with a call owner against each.

Result: Returning clients are approached ahead of their usual month.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do we tell a serious enquiry from a price check?
Look for a date, a headcount and a named company. A serious enquiry gives all or nearly all of these. Record them all, and ask for any that are missing in your first reply. A price check gives none of them.
Should we pay event agencies for bookings?
That is a commercial decision for you, and GullySales does not set agency terms. What we can do is prepare the pack and the outreach that gets you in front of them, and log what each agency has asked for.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
