Convention hotels · Social media

Use social media to show the halls working, not just empty and decorated.

Social media marketing for a convention hotel means showing planners and agencies what an event in your halls looks like, on the platforms where event professionals look. GullySales plans the posts, the page content and the way enquiries from social are recorded.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For convention hotels

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “An empty hall tells the planner nothing”

A photograph of a hall with chairs in rows and no people looks like every other hall. A planner needs to see a plenary, a breakout, a registration desk and a gala in progress.

  • “LinkedIn is where corporate planners spend time”

Admin heads, HR managers and agency owners are on LinkedIn for work. A hotel page there that shows events, staff and layouts reaches them in a working frame of mind, not a leisure one.

  • “Instagram suits the gala and the launch”

Award nights, product launches and receptions look good in pictures and video. Used with care, they show the stage, lighting and catering a planner will be buying.

  • “Client permission is not optional”

A conference belongs to the client. Posting delegates' faces or a company's event without a yes from the organiser risks the relationship that brought the booking.

What we do

What we deliver for convention hotels.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A platform plan by buyer

LinkedIn for corporate and association planners, Instagram for launches and galas, and a decision on whether to use more.

Result: Each platform has a named buyer and a reason to be used.

  2. A post series built from real events

Posts showing a layout, a set-up, a catering line or an audiovisual rig from an event that took place, with organiser permission.

Result: Every post comes from an event with a recorded yes from the client.

  3. A permission note for clients

A short line in the booking paperwork asking whether photographs of the event may be used.

Result: Each booking file records whether pictures may be posted.

  4. Enquiry capture from messages

A routine for logging direct messages and comments that ask for rates or dates into the sales record.

Result: Every enquiry from social appears in the same list as other sources.

  5. Page profile and pinned posts

The cover, description and pinned content set to show halls, capacities and how to ask for a quote.

Result: A visitor to the page sees halls and a quote route first.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How much should we post?
Post only what you can support with real event material and permission. A few good posts that show the halls in use are worth more than a calendar of filler. We agree the rhythm with you in the plan.
Should we run paid ads on social?
Only after the hall pages and enquiry routine work, since ads send visitors there. Check each platform's current rules for ad content. We can set up a small test with a budget you choose.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
