Resorts · Local SEO

Be the property that shows on the map when a traveller types the town and the word stay.

Local SEO for a resort is how your Google Maps profile appears when a traveller searches for stays in a hill town, a coast or beside a reserve. GullySales works on the profile, the route information and the review habit that decide what a guest sees first.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For resorts

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The search names the place, not your property”

A traveller types resort in Sakleshpur or stay near Kabini and sees three map results with photographs and ratings. If your profile is thin or filed under the wrong type, you are not in the three, however good the view from the verandah is.

  • “Getting there is half the booking”

Guests check the last stretch on Maps before they decide. If the pin sits at the main road instead of the gate, or the profile says nothing about the bad road, the guest arrives annoyed or cancels. The pin and the directions are marketing.

  • “Photographs on Maps are older than the property”

A guest uploads a blurred photo of the old room, the owner never adds new ones, and the profile shows the monsoon of three years ago. Guests read the newest photographs and the newest reviews together to judge whether the property is cared for.

  • “Reviews on Maps and on apps get read together”

A guest compares a warm review on Airbnb with a one-line complaint on Google about the washroom. Replies from the owner on Google, written plainly, show how the property treats a complaint. A silent profile suggests nobody is there.

What we do

What we deliver for resorts.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A verified profile with the right type and the real pin

Your property filed under the type that matches what you offer, with the pin on the gate and the entrance road described.

Result: A searcher arriving from Maps reaches the gate, not the highway.

  2. Photographs by room, view and approach

Current images of each room type, the dining area, the view, the road and the gate, uploaded and named.

Result: A guest sees the actual rooms and the real approach before enquiring.

  3. Profile text that answers the first questions

Description, services and attributes covering parking, network, pets, food and steps, written for the guests who ask these on WhatsApp.

Result: Fewer guests ask on WhatsApp what the profile already says.

  4. A reply habit for every review

Written replies to praise and complaints in the owner's voice, with a short process for asking guests at checkout.

Result: The newest reviews on Maps are recent and answered.

  5. Booking and message buttons set to a number you answer

The profile linked to the business WhatsApp number and a page where a guest can ask about dates.

Result: A tap on the profile ends up in a chat that gets a reply.

  6. Reading the profile's own figures

Calls, direction requests and website taps from the profile, set against where they stood before the work began.

Result: You can see whether the profile sends people your way.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We are in a village with no street address. Can we still be on Maps?
Yes. Rural stays can be listed with a pin, a landmark in the description and directions in plain words. Verification rules differ for properties without a street address, so check the platform's current rules when you apply.
Does the tourism registration number go on the profile?
Several states run registration or classification schemes, and guests sometimes ask. Rules differ by state and change, so check with your state tourism office before you put anything about it on a public listing.
Why does a competitor with fewer rooms outrank us?
Maps weighs distance, the profile's completeness, type, and reviews. A smaller property with a complete profile, recent photographs and answered reviews can sit above a larger one that has not touched its listing. Rankings are never promised.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
