Hotels · Social media

Show the wedding you hosted last month, not a stock photograph of a hotel bed.

Social media for a hotel is Instagram and Facebook content built from real events, rooms and guests at your property. It is aimed at the family or corporate planner still deciding, rather than at broad awareness. GullySales plans and posts this on a schedule tied to your actual bookings and seasons.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For hotels

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Recent events sell better than staged photography”

A reel from an actual wedding hosted last month, with the family's permission, does more to convince the next family than a professionally staged but generic shoot.

  • “Corporate content needs a different feed altogether”

A conference room set-up and a catering spread photographed for LinkedIn reach a different decision-maker than a poolside photo aimed at Instagram.

  • “Comment replies are a booking channel, not just engagement”

A prompt, specific reply to a comment asking about banquet rates often converts faster than the post itself, because the enquiry is already there.

What we do

What we deliver for hotels.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Content calendar built around booked events

A plan for Instagram and Facebook posts drawn from weddings, conferences and F&B events already on your calendar.

Result: Every post shows something that actually happened at your property.

  2. Separate content track for corporate audiences

Conference room and catering content built for LinkedIn, distinct from the poolside and room content aimed at Instagram.

Result: A corporate planner sees content built for their decision, not a leisure traveller's.

  3. Comment and DM reply routine

A written routine for answering banquet rate and availability questions in comments and direct messages promptly.

Result: An enquiry left in a comment gets a real answer instead of silence.

  4. Consent process for event photos

A simple, recorded consent step before a wedding or corporate event is photographed and posted.

Result: Real events get shared without a guest ever feeling caught off guard.

  5. Engagement and enquiry report

A report against your baseline showing which posts brought a comment, message or enquiry, not just views.

Result: The owner sees which content is actually bringing bookings closer.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Platform for this buyer

Where families and planners look at hotels, and what to post for each.

Instagram reels for rooms and halls
Show a wedding setup, the banquet hall at dusk, the breakfast spread or a room walkthrough with the view. Name the property and city, and ask for dates on WhatsApp.
Facebook for event families
Post recent weddings and anniversaries with the family's permission. Relatives share these inside the family's own circle, where the next booking often sits.
LinkedIn for corporate planners
Post meeting hall layouts such as theatre and classroom, what a conference package includes and which rooms connect. Corporate buyers compare halls side by side, so state the facts.
Google Business Profile photos and posts
Add new room and hall photographs and dated offers. Guests compare these with the OTA listing before they decide to book direct.
WhatsApp Business status
Share seasonal packages and open dates with past guests and event enquirers, with a direct booking message ready.
What not to post
Do not show guests in rooms, room numbers or a visiting VIP. Check your OTA contract before posting a public rate that is lower than the listing.

Who it is for

This is written for these hotels.

  • Business and transit hotels
  • Boutique and heritage properties
  • Resort and destination hotels
  • Budget and mid-market chains
  • Banquet and wedding-focused properties
  • Serviced apartments and long-stay properties

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Guests and wedding families have not agreed to be photographed, and a feed built on their faces would breach their trust
  • No one at the property can reply to a comment or message the same day, so a post would invite questions that go cold
  • You have only stock photographs to post, and a feed of them looks like every other hotel

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Confirm audience, platforms and access

We note which platforms your buyers use and check that the pages sit under your own business accounts, with you as owner and us as added roles.

  2. 2

    Review the current presence

We read the existing pages, the posts that drew replies and the gaps in posting.

  3. 3

    Build the calendar

Themes, formats and dates are set out for your approval, with space for offers and news.

  4. 4

    Create, approve and publish

Posts are made, approved by you and scheduled. Replies to the public are handled in your voice.

  5. 5

    Record enquiries and adjust

Enquiries are logged against the post or platform where they began, and the mix changes to follow what brings them.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How often should we post?
Consistency matters more than volume. A steady rhythm tied to actual events at your property works better than daily posts with nothing new to show.
Do we need a videographer for every event?
No, a phone shot well at a handful of key events is enough, and we tell you which ones are worth covering.
Should each hotel in our group have its own Instagram page?
Yes if each has its own rooms, events and staff to reply, since guests search by property. Keep the group page for brand news and link to each property. A property with little content is better served by a strong Google Business Profile and a WhatsApp number.
Should we post festival greetings or festive brunch offers?
Post the offer, not only the greeting. A festive brunch or wedding-season package with a date, what is included and a booking message gives the viewer something to act on. Greeting-only images earn little. Check each festival's name and customs for your guests.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
