Cold-chain logistics providers · Digital marketing

Put the right proof in front of each shipper type through the channels they check.

Digital marketing for a cold-chain provider covers the website, search, directories, email, chat and outbound contact that together bring in shipper enquiries. GullySales decides which of these fit your fleet and routes and measures them against quotes won.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Cold chain companies: show a real physical business scene illustrating Chamber readings on one screen. Show the current temperature, and humidity where it is measured, for every chamber, freezer and anteroom fitted with a sensor, with the time each one last reported.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For cold-chain logistics providers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Visits are not the measure, quotes on a route are”

A rise in site traffic from people who do not ship cold cargo adds nothing. The measure that matters is how many enquiries named a cargo and a route that your vehicles run, and how many became trial trips.

  • “Paid search for logistics is crowded and costly for a small fleet”

Terms like transport services draw every kind of carrier and irrelevant enquiries. Narrow terms tied to cargo, temperature and a route avoid paying for clicks from shippers you cannot serve.

  • “Email still reaches the logistics and quality heads”

A short note with a route sheet or a quality pack, sent to a named person at a named shipper, is read more carefully than a general advert. It needs a reason to write, such as a route or a season.

  • “Channels need one enquiry path”

If a shipper can ring, chat, fill a form and email, all four must land in the same record. Otherwise the same enquiry is quoted twice by different people, or by nobody.

What we do

What we deliver for cold-chain logistics providers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel plan by shipper type

Which of search, directory listings, LinkedIn, email and chat to use for dairy, pharma, seafood, fruit and retail shippers.

Result: A plan that names where each shipper type is found.

  2. A tracked enquiry path

Forms, call tracking and chat links that record the source of each enquiry against the quote and the load.

Result: You see which channel brought which shipper.

  3. Targeted search campaigns for named lanes

Campaigns limited to cargo and route terms you can serve, with negative terms for the rest.

Result: Spend is aimed at searches that match your fleet.

  4. Outbound email set for named shippers

Short notes and a route sheet to named contacts, written for the logistics head and the quality head separately.

Result: Introductions that go to a person, not a mailbox.

  5. A results sheet built on quotes

Enquiries, quotes, trial trips and standing routes by channel, kept beside what each channel cost.

Result: One page that shows what is working and what is not.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

The searches that show a reefer operator which channel deserves effort.

reefer transport plus a named lane
The strongest sign of intent. A search campaign for one lane you run, landing on the route page, is worth testing.
cold chain logistics company
A broad search from students, consultants and shippers alike. Do not pay for it on a small fleet.
pharma cold chain transport provider
A shipper in a procurement exercise. A quality pack page and a direct email to the named logistics head fit here.
frozen food distribution transport
Dairy and ice cream makers search for this. Answer with the cargo page and the trial-trip offer.
A named competitor
Shippers comparing providers type names. Make sure your own pages show the proof they would compare.

Who it is for

This is written for these cold-chain logistics providers.

  • Reefer truck operators for dairy, ice cream and frozen foods
  • Temperature-controlled transport for pharma and healthcare distributors
  • Seafood and meat transport from ports and processing units
  • Fruit, vegetable and flower carriers on long routes
  • Multi-temperature vehicle and shared reefer load operators
  • Insulated box and last-mile cold delivery services
  • Cold chain providers serving retail and QSR chains
  • Reefer container haulage near ports and inland depots

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Business comes only through relationships and the owner has no time to answer new enquiries.
  • You cannot trace which channel brought an enquiry, so spend could not be judged.
  • Your fleet is fully booked on standing routes, and new enquiries would meet a refusal.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which channel should a small operator start with?
Start with the website pages for your cargo and routes, a complete map listing and direct outbound to named shippers. Add paid search only after the pages and the enquiry path are in place.
Is digital marketing worth it when business comes from relationships?
Relationships bring the first loads. Digital work gives those relationships something to check, such as a page, a quality pack and a trip example, and brings in shippers who do not know you yet.
How do we judge an agency's report?
Ask what quotes and loads the work produced. A report of impressions and clicks without quotes tells you about activity, not about business.
Can a small fleet afford paid search?
Test one lane with a small budget and a landing page for that lane, and judge it by quotes received, not clicks. Broad terms such as cold chain logistics are costly and bring students. If the lane page converts to quotes, add another lane.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
