PCB manufacturers · Buyer persona

Know the engineer, the buyer and the approver before you write the next quote.

A buyer persona for a PCB fab describes the people who send files, compare quotes and approve vendors, and what each wants to see. GullySales builds these from your past RFQs and orders so the marketing and the quote speak to the right person.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For PCB manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The design engineer wants a clear answer on the file”

This person cares whether the stack-up works, whether the finish suits the parts and whether the fab flags a problem early. A reply that raises a sensible query reads as competence, and a bare price reads as a quote factory.

  • “The purchase executive compares quotes”

This buyer holds several quotes side by side and needs something to justify the choice to a manager. Terms, lead dates, tolerances and test coverage written plainly help the buyer make a case.

  • “The sourcing head approves vendors for the long run”

An OEM sourcing head looks for documents, audit readiness and consistent supply. The conversation moves at the pace of the approval process, not the pace of your quote.

  • “The startup founder buys prototypes and may buy production later”

A founder wants a working board and a patient answer. If the prototype goes well, the same person is the first contact for a production lot, so the relationship matters beyond the first order.

What we do

What we deliver for PCB manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Persona sheets for each buyer type

One page per buyer: role, what they check, what they fear, and the question they ask first.

Result: Your sales team can describe each buyer in a sentence.

  2. Order history review

A look at past orders to see which buyer type brought repeat work and which brought one-off jobs.

Result: You know which buyers are worth the effort.

  3. Message guide by persona

Suggested wording for the first reply, the follow-up and the capability pack for each buyer.

Result: Replies sound right for the person reading them.

  4. Objection notes

A list of what each buyer type says when comparing fabs and how your team answers it truthfully.

Result: The team has an answer ready for price and date questions.

  5. Targeting notes for outreach

A note on which companies and roles to approach for each persona.

Result: Outreach goes to named roles, not general inboxes.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these PCB manufacturers.

  • Single-sided and double-sided board makers for consumer and appliance electronics
  • Multilayer and HDI board fabs for industrial and telecom electronics
  • Aluminium and metal-core board makers for LED lighting and power electronics
  • Flexible and rigid-flex circuit makers
  • Quick-turn prototype fabs serving startups and R&D labs
  • High-volume fabs working for automotive and EV electronics
  • Fabs supplying defence, aerospace and medical device electronics
  • Captive board shops inside larger electronics groups opening to outside work

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How many personas do we need?
One for each distinct buyer in your orders, which for a fab is a short list. We start from your records, and add only where the buyer behaves differently.
Can we build personas without customer interviews?
We begin with RFQ history, email threads and order records, which already show how buyers behave. A short call with a few trusted customers, if they agree, adds detail.
Do personas change by board type?
Yes. A prototype buyer and a high-reliability buyer ask different things even of the same fab. We note those differences so the pack and reply match the board.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
