Building and construction material manufacturers · Lead generation

Enquiries arrive by phone, dealer, portal and plant visit, and most are written on different pads.

Lead generation for a building material manufacturer means finding builders, contractors and dealers who will buy in volume, and recording each source. GullySales lists the real sources for your plant and sets a way to log and answer each one.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For building and construction material manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Leads come from six places and live in six notebooks”

Calls to the plant, the dealer's phone, IndiaMART, the sales rep's visit and the owner's own contacts are never put together.

  • “Dealers keep the buyer's number”

A mason asked for your brand at the dealer's counter, and you never learned his name.

  • “Project leads are not hunted”

Sites near your plant begin construction and the first you hear is a truck of a competitor passing the gate.

What we do

What we deliver for building and construction material manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A source list for your plant

Each way an enquiry reaches you, from calls and plant visits to dealers and portals, with who answers it and how it is recorded.

    Result: No source is invisible.

  2. One enquiry sheet for all sources

A single record where every enquiry goes, with the product, quantity, site, source and the date to ring back.

Result: Leads stop living in notebooks.

  3. A project watch within your radius

Approvals, new layouts, industrial expansions and public works near the plant, noted and passed to the person who should call.

Result: You call before the supplier is chosen.

  4. A dealer lead-sharing arrangement

A simple agreement with dealers about enquiries for large orders, with a way to record who brought them.

Result: A big enquiry at a dealer's counter reaches your team.

  5. A reply rule for each source

Who answers a portal enquiry, a call and a site visit request, and in how long the owner expects it, set by the owner.

Result: Every enquiry gets a first reply.

  6. Lead reporting by source and product

Enquiries, quotations and orders by source, compared with the position recorded before the work began.

Result: You spend on the sources that bring orders.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

The sources of enquiry in a building material plant, what to record at each, and how to reply.

Calls to the plant or sales office
Whoever picks up writes the caller, product, quantity, site town and date needed on the sheet before the call ends. Ring back the same day with the quotation and the delivery plan.
Dealer counter and mason requests
Ask each dealer to send the number of any buyer who wants a large quantity. Record the dealer's name against the lead and tell the dealer what happened, so he keeps sending them.
IndiaMART and marketplace enquiries
Reply to each through a person, not an auto reply. Record the product asked, quantity and city, and note which ones were genuine. Check the platform's current terms and your own cost per lead.
Builder and contractor visits by your representative
After each visit, log the project, the engineer and purchase manager met, the product discussed and the next date. A visit with no entry in the register did not happen.
Tenders and portal notices
Record each notice with the item, quantity, closing date and who is preparing the bid. Check the portal's current rules for each submission and keep your documents in one folder.
Exhibitions and plant visits by buyers
Note the visiting card, the project and what was shown. Send a message the next working day and add the person to the register so a visit is not lost with the business card.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the lead generation work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Is it a good idea to buy lead lists?
Most lists are old or thin, and cold calling a stranger about blocks rarely works. A list built from your own radius, with named project buyers and a reason to call, is better than a bought one. Check the source of any list.
How do we stop the same enquiry being counted twice?
Use the phone number as the key on the sheet and check it before adding a row. If the same buyer has asked through a dealer and a portal, keep one record and list both sources against it.
What counts as a qualified lead for us?
A buyer with a site inside your delivery area, a quantity worth a truck and a date by which he needs the material. Write your own rule down and apply it. A small buyer is not worthless, but belongs with the dealer.
How do we use sales visits as a source?
Plan visits by area, keep each representative's calls in the register and ask each builder who else on the site buys. The register should show the project and the next call, so the visit has a follow-up.
Everyone asks for the rate on the phone. What do we say?
Give the rate with what it covers: grade, size, GST, freight, unloading and the minimum quantity. A caller who hears one number compares it with a rate that left things out. Naming what is included is what keeps you in the comparison.
Should we sell direct to builders or only through dealers?
That depends on your channel agreements and your plant. Many manufacturers serve large projects directly and everything smaller through dealers. Decide a rule, tell your dealers, and record which enquiries went where, so nobody feels undercut.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
