Furniture manufacturers · Sales management

Know which dealer enquiry went cold and which tender is still open.

Sales management for a furniture manufacturer means tracking every dealer, direct and corporate enquiry to a named owner and a stage. Nothing is then lost between a showroom visit and a signed order. GullySales puts that record in place and goes through the open dealer and tender enquiries with you.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What sales management means

Sales management is the ongoing work of reviewing a sales team's pipeline, calls and targets, and stepping in on deals that are stuck. GullySales sets the review rhythm and the reports a sales manager needs to run this without relying on gut feel.

For furniture manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Three enquiry types need one shared record”

Dealer negotiations, direct showroom enquiries and corporate tenders often live in separate notebooks or nobody's memory, and a single record lets you see all three together.

  • “Tender deadlines kept like appointments”

A missed tender submission date loses the contract outright, and a record with the closing date and an owner against each tender you decide to respond to keeps it in view.

  • “Dealer reorder patterns visible at a glance”

Seeing which dealers have not reordered in an unusually long time lets the sales team follow up before the relationship quietly lapses to a competitor.

What we do

What we deliver for furniture manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. One record for dealer, showroom and tender enquiries

A single tracked record covering every enquiry type, with an owner and a stage, instead of three separate notebooks.

Result: Any rep can open the record and see what was last said to that dealer.

  2. A record of the tenders you respond to

The tenders you decide to respond to, each with its closing date, an owner and the documents still to be prepared.

Result: Each tender you respond to has a date and an owner against it.

  3. A dealer reorder pattern report

A regular check on which dealers have gone unusually quiet on reorders, flagged for a follow-up call.

Result: A fading dealer relationship gets a call before it lapses to a competitor.

  4. A pipeline review with your team

A recurring review of every open dealer, showroom and tender enquiry against its stage and next action.

Result: Stalled enquiries get a next step instead of sitting unattended.

How the result is measured

  • Target achievement
  • Pipeline coverage
  • Stuck deals resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What the sales head reviews

Read these six things in the dealer and tender record before the sales meeting.

Dealer enquiries from IndiaMART and fairs
Check that every dealer enquiry from IndiaMART, a furniture fair or a cold call has the town, showroom size and range of interest noted. A blank row cannot be followed up, so call and fill it.
Dealers who have not reordered
Sort dealers by last invoice in the sales ledger. A showroom silent for longer than its usual gap needs a visit to check stock on the floor, a damaged piece or a rival's scheme.
Credit and outstanding by dealer
Read the outstanding against each dealer before pushing a new order. A dealer near the credit limit will not order, so agree a payment plan with accounts before the rep visits.
Office and hotel tenders in progress
List each tender with the submission date, sample piece status and reference projects needed. Assign one person to each and check that the pre-bid queries have gone.
Quotes stuck on material or finish
Find corporate and dealer quotes waiting on a laminate, veneer or fabric choice. Send the buyer swatches or a finish sample instead of waiting for them to decide.
Open dealer complaints
Check dealer complaints on transit damage, wrong finish or late dispatch. A dealer with an open complaint stops pushing your range, so close it before asking for the next order.

Who it is for

This is written for these furniture manufacturers.

  • Modular kitchen and wardrobe manufacturers
  • Office furniture and workstation manufacturers
  • Home furniture manufacturers, sofas, beds and dining sets
  • Outdoor and garden furniture manufacturers
  • Custom and made-to-order carpentry units
  • Hospitality and hotel furniture contractors

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the sales management work runs

  1. 1

    Assess current management practice

We look at what cadence, if any, currently exists and where it breaks down.

  2. 2

    Set the rhythm

The touchpoints are agreed and scheduled in writing before the first review.

  3. 3

    Run or coach the cadence

We either run the reviews and one-on-ones directly, or coach your manager to run them.

  4. 4

    Address performance directly

Issues are raised as they appear, not left until a review period.

  5. 5

    Report to the owner

A summary keeps ownership informed without needing to sit in every review.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need special software for this?
A shared spreadsheet works for a modest number of dealers and tenders; a simple CRM helps once the volume or team size grows.
How often should we review the pipeline?
Monthly for dealer and consumer enquiries, and weekly whenever a tender deadline is approaching.
Should the factory manager attend the dealer review?
Ask the factory manager in for the open tenders and dealer complaints. Dispatch dates, finish problems and transit damage sit with the factory, and a rep promising dates without them loses the dealer's trust. Discuss dealer visits and new territories without the factory team.
My field reps say logging dealer visits wastes their time. How do I get them to do it?
Ask for the least: dealer, what was shown, what the dealer asked for and the next step. Let them send it as a voice note or a photo of the order book on WhatsApp, with someone in the office entering it. Use only what is in the record when you discuss their territory.
Do we need to market to dealers and to consumers differently?
Yes. A dealer decides on margin and whether your trucks arrive on time, so he needs a rep and a margin sheet. A consumer decides on material and finish, so she needs a catalogue page that answers those plainly.
How do we win a corporate furniture tender?
A prompt, complete proposal with a sample piece and a past project reference usually matters more than being the lowest quote. Buyers are wary of a cheap quote that cannot deliver on time.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
