For packaging manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers already send artwork and sizes on WhatsApp”

The purchase officer forwards a dieline, a photograph of an old carton or a voice note. If these arrive on a salesperson's personal number, the job lives in one phone and nobody else can find it later.

  • “A small brand wants an answer within the same conversation”

A bakery or D2C founder asks about minimums and prices while also running their business. A reply that arrives hours later, or comes as a long PDF, loses to the supplier who answered in two lines.

  • “Photographs close more doubt than a catalogue”

A short video of the press running or a photograph of the finished carton under good light settles the question that brand teams worry about, which is print quality. Catalogues rarely do.

  • “Broadcasts to every contact damage the number”

Sending the same offer to purchase heads and tiny sellers alike draws blocks and silence. Lists need splitting by buyer type, and the platform's current rules on business messages apply.

What we do

What we deliver for packaging manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business number with a proper profile

A WhatsApp Business account with the unit's name, address, pack types and working hours filled in, separate from any personal phone.

Result: A new buyer sees a company, not a stranger's number.

  2. A catalogue by pack type

Each pack type listed with its board or film, sizes, print options and minimum quantity, with a photograph of actual work.

Result: A buyer can browse your range inside the chat.

  3. Quick replies for the questions you answer daily

Saved answers for minimums, dieline help, sample charges, payment terms and delivery areas, written in plain words.

Result: The team answers the first question in the same minute.

  4. Labels that mark the stage of each chat

Chats labelled as new enquiry, quotation sent, sample sent or running account, matching the stages in the CRM.

Result: You can filter the chats that need a call today.

  5. Sample and artwork approval flow

A set routine for sharing photographs or proofs, getting a written approval in the chat and saving it against the job.

Result: The buyer's approval is on record before the press runs.

  6. Broadcast lists split by buyer type

Separate lists for running accounts, brands under follow-up and small sellers, each used only for messages that suit that group.

Result: Messages go to people who want them, and the number stays healthy.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Messages a packaging unit exchanges on WhatsApp and the detail each carries.

Specification request reply
A saved reply asking for pack type, size, quantity, print and material. It collects what the estimator needs in the first exchange.
Artwork approval message
The dieline with the artwork placed on it, sent with a request for a written yes. The reply is saved as the record of approval.
Sample dispatch note
Courier name, date and what the box holds. The buyer expects the parcel and the follow-up call has a date to hang on.
Quotation cover note
A short note with the specification restated, the validity and the payment basis, with the quote attached.
Reorder reminder
A message to a running account before stock is due to end, asking whether the specification stays the same.

Who it is for

This is written for these packaging manufacturers.

  • Corrugated box and carton manufacturers
  • Mono carton and printed folding box makers
  • Flexible packaging, laminate and pouch manufacturers
  • Label and sticker printers
  • Paper bag and paper cup manufacturers
  • Rigid box and premium gift packaging makers
  • Paper and paper products converters
  • Industrial and export packaging suppliers
  • E-commerce and courier packaging suppliers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your buyers use email and a portal for approvals, and WhatsApp would split the record.
  • The number is the owner's personal phone, and artwork and rates would be lost with the handset.
  • You plan to broadcast price changes to every contact, when a revised rate belongs in a message to the account it affects.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need the WhatsApp Business API?
Not at the start. The Business app covers catalogue, labels and quick replies for a small team. Move to the API only when several people must share one number or you need automation, and check the provider's current terms.
Is it safe to share artwork and rates on WhatsApp?
Treat it like any business channel. Keep it on the company number, restrict who can access the phone or web login, and keep formal quotations as documents saved in the record as well.
Can we send offers to our whole contact list?
Send only to people who have dealt with you or asked to hear from you, and split by buyer type. Check the platform's current rules on promotional messages before running any broadcast.
Is it safe to share artwork and rates with a buyer on WhatsApp?
Share them with a buyer you know, from a business number you control. Chats are copied to other devices, and a rate sent to the wrong group harms you. Keep a copy of the approved artwork in the record, and share rates only in one-to-one chats.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
