Industry clusters · Search engine optimisation

Make the cluster page the one a buyer finds when searching for the product.

SEO for an industry cluster means shaping pages so a search for the product, or for the town's name beside the product, lands on the cluster and not on a single stray listing. GullySales works on the cluster profile, product pages and unit directory so search engines can read what the town makes.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For industry clusters

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers search the product, the town, or both”

A merchant types the product and the word supplier. A visiting buyer types the town and the product. A cluster needs pages for each phrase, written in the words the trade uses and not the words of a brochure.

  • “Listings that share one photograph weaken the town”

When every unit uploads the same stock image and a thin paragraph, a search engine sees repetition. One strong page per product, with real photographs from named workshops, gives it something worth showing.

  • “The cluster body's website may be the oldest page about the town”

An association's site may have been online for years and carry a history page nobody reads. That age and its links are an asset, so the work starts by fixing that site before adding new ones.

  • “Product names differ across languages and regions”

A utensil has one name in the shop, another in the export catalogue and a further name in the local language. Pages that carry the common variants catch searches that a single spelling would miss.

What we do

What we deliver for industry clusters.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Search phrase map

A list of the product, town and buyer phrases a searcher uses, matched to a page for each.

Result: A sheet that shows which page answers which search.

  2. Cluster profile page

A page covering what the cluster makes, where it sits and what its units can do, written from the cluster body's own register.

Result: One page that a search engine and a buyer can both read as the town's introduction.

  3. Product pages

One page per product family, with photographs from named units, machines and the sample information a buyer asks for.

Result: Each product family has its own address that can be found and shared.

  4. Directory markup

Structured details on the unit directory so a unit's name, products and location are readable by search engines.

Result: A directory that passes a structured data test.

  5. Link and listing clean-up

A check of the cluster's existing mentions on government portals, association sites and marketplaces, so names and addresses agree.

Result: A list of mentions with the wrong spelling or old address, and the fix for each.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Will SEO put the cluster at the top of search?
No one can promise a position, and we do not. What we control is whether the pages answer the searches a buyer makes. Position then depends on the market and on what rival clusters publish for the same product.
Do we need a separate site for each unit?
No. A directory under the cluster's name lets each unit appear with its products. A unit that wants its own site can still have one, linked to the cluster page.
Can the cluster rank for the town's name alone?
The town's name draws tourists and job seekers as well as buyers. Pairing it with the product narrows the searches to the people the cluster wants, so the pages lead with the pair.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
