Industry clusters · WhatsApp marketing

Give buyers one WhatsApp number for the cluster, and let the desk route from there.

WhatsApp marketing for an industry cluster means using a business number, a catalogue and broadcast lists so traders and exporters reach the cluster in the app they already use. GullySales sets up the number, the catalogue and the rules for who replies and what is sent.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For industry clusters

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Traders in India send the first message on WhatsApp”

A wholesaler sends a photo of the item wanted and asks for a rate. A cluster that only lists a landline or an email form loses that buyer to a town whose number is saved in the phone.

  • “A personal number tied to one owner breaks the chain”

If the cluster's WhatsApp is the secretary's own phone, the history leaves with the secretary. A business number held by the cluster body, with a rota of readers, keeps the conversations in one place.

  • “Broadcast lists can annoy as easily as they help”

A buyer who receives every unit's offer starts to ignore the number. Sending only to people who asked, grouped by product, and letting them leave, keeps the list useful. Check the platform's current rules before you send.

  • “Photos and voice notes carry the sale”

Buyers send images and short voice notes in their own language. The desk needs a habit of replying in kind and saving the picture to the enquiry record, so the request is not lost in the chat.

What we do

What we deliver for industry clusters.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Business number set-up

A business account for the cluster with its name, description, hours and a link to the cluster page.

Result: A profile that shows the cluster's name when a buyer opens the chat.

  2. Product catalogue

The app's catalogue filled with the cluster's main product families, photographs and the units that make them.

Result: A catalogue a buyer can browse and forward.

  3. Quick replies and greeting

Saved replies for the common first questions and a greeting that says who is reading.

Result: A set of replies the desk can send with one tap.

  4. Broadcast rules

A written rule on who may be added to a list, what is sent and how a buyer can opt out.

Result: A rule sheet and a list built only from people who agreed.

  5. Chat-to-record habit

A step that moves each enquiry from the chat into the cluster's record, with photographs attached.

Result: Every chat enquiry appears in the log with a reference.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Should each unit also use WhatsApp with buyers?
Yes, once the desk has made the first contact and passed the enquiry on. The unit then talks about its own quote. Buyers who message a unit directly should be pointed back to the cluster number so the record stays whole.
Can we send offers to every contact in the phone?
No. Message people who have asked to hear from you or who have dealt with the cluster, and give them a way to stop. Platform rules change, so read the current ones before running any campaign.
Who pays for the business number and any messaging charges?
The cluster body, as the account holder. Some features carry platform charges, which we show before you choose them, so there is no bill the body did not expect.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
