Sports associations · WhatsApp marketing

Send the fixture change to every captain and parent in one message that gets read.

WhatsApp marketing for a sports association is the organised use of broadcast lists, groups and the business app to send fixtures, entries and results to the people who play. GullySales works on the lists, the message formats and the rules of the group.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For sports associations

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The coach's group is the real notice board”

Clubs hear about everything through a coach's group, so a circular that never reaches that group does not exist. Associations that write messages for forwarding see their notices travel.

  • “Groups grow into arguments”

A large group of parents becomes a place for complaints about selection. Announcement-only groups and a separate contact for questions keep fixtures readable and tempers lower.

  • “A fixture change needs a template”

A message that says only the match is shifted leaves the team guessing. A fixed layout with the old date, the new date, the venue and a contact stops the follow-up calls.

  • “Personal numbers carry the whole league”

If every notice leaves from one volunteer's personal number, the association has no record and no continuity. A business number held by the office is the association's, not the volunteer's.

What we do

What we deliver for sports associations.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Broadcast lists by age group and club

Separate lists so a message about the junior league reaches only those it concerns.

Result: Parents of senior players are not sent junior notices.

  2. Announcement-only groups

Groups where only office-bearers post, with a stated route for questions.

Result: The group carries fixtures, not arguments.

  3. Message templates for entry, change and result

A fixed layout for each type of notice, ready to fill and forward.

Result: Every captain recognises a notice at a glance.

  4. A business number for the association

A WhatsApp Business profile with the association's name, address and a short description.

Result: Messages come from a number the committee owns.

  5. An opt-in line on the entry form

A tick box recording that the family agrees to receive association messages.

Result: The list is built from consent, not from collected numbers.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we add players to a group without asking?
Ask first. Add people who have agreed, through the entry form, and let anyone leave without comment. Check the platform's current rules on broadcast messages and business use.
Should sponsor messages go to the whole list?
Only if the entry form told families sponsor messages would come. Otherwise name the sponsor within a fixture or result message rather than sending a separate promotion.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
