AI startups · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the task a buyer types, not for the word artificial intelligence.

SEO for an AI startup means building pages that answer the searches a buyer makes about a task, such as reading invoices or scoring leads. GullySales works on use-case pages, comparison content and site structure so a search engine can tell what each page is for.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For AI startups

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers search the task, not the technology”

A finance team looking to cut manual entry types the job and the document, not a model name. A site written around capabilities gives that search nothing to match.

  • “Pages written for founders miss the reader”

Technical posts about architecture attract other builders. The person who would pay reads for a plain description of inputs, outputs and limits, and leaves a page that talks about the stack.

  • “Thin pages for every keyword dilute the site”

Dozens of near-identical pages naming different tools look like filler. A smaller set of pages, each with a real sample and stated limits, gives a search engine a clear reason to show one.

What we do

What we deliver for AI startups.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A use-case page map

A plan of one page per job, each with a distinct search intent and a link to the next question a buyer would ask.

Result: You can see which searches each page is meant to answer.

  2. Use-case pages with samples

Pages with an input, an output and a plain note on where the product does not work.

Result: A visitor can judge fit without booking a call.

  3. Comparison and alternative pages

Honest pages comparing your approach with doing the job by hand or with a general assistant.

Result: Buyers comparing options find your view at the point they are deciding.

  4. Technical clean-up

Titles, headings, speed, indexing and structured data checked against the pages that matter.

Result: Search engines can read and list the pages you want found.

  5. Search answer readiness

Short, quotable answers on key pages so AI-based search tools can cite them accurately.

Result: Your product is described correctly when a buyer asks an assistant.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Should we write about AI trends to get traffic?
Trend posts bring readers who are not buyers. A few posts for context are fine, but the effort belongs on pages that match the job a buyer is trying to get done.
How do we compete with large AI brands in search?
Not head on. Narrow job-based searches have far fewer strong pages, and a clear, sample-backed page can hold its place there. We look for those gaps first.
Do you promise rankings?
No. Rankings depend on competitors and search engine changes. We build pages that deserve to be found and show you what is indexed and what is bringing visitors.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
