ClimateTech startups · Search engine optimisation

Show up when a plant head searches for the cost problem, not for your technology.

SEO for a ClimateTech startup means making your pages the answer when a buyer types a cost, compliance or reporting problem into Google. GullySales works on page structure, problem-led content and the technical basics that let those pages be read and indexed.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For ClimateTech startups

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers search the pain, not the product”

A plant head types a phrase about reducing boiler fuel or treating dye effluent. Few type the name of the technology that solves it. A site that describes the platform in engineering terms is missing from those searches, however accurate the description is.

  • “Compliance searches carry real intent”

People look for what an overseas customer's carbon questionnaire asks, or what a state pollution board expects from a unit. A plain page that explains the question and shows where your product fits meets a buyer who is already under pressure.

  • “One page for everything ranks for nothing”

A single product page that tries to speak to a hotel, a foundry and a campus is not specific enough for any of them. Search rewards a page that is clearly about one buyer and one problem, with the savings stated in that buyer's units.

  • “Technical claims need a source”

Search and buyers both punish vague green language. A page that states what was measured, at which site and by what method gives a reader something to trust and gives you something you can stand behind.

What we do

What we deliver for ClimateTech startups.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A problem-led keyword map

A list of the cost, compliance and reporting problems your buyers search for, grouped by industry and matched to a page.

Result: Every target page has a stated search purpose.

  2. Industry and problem pages

Pages for each buyer and problem, with the pilot evidence, a plain explanation of the fix and a link to the sizing form.

Result: A plant head sees their own situation on the first screen.

  3. Glossary and standards explainers

Short pages on terms buyers meet, such as BRSR, Scope 2 and effluent discharge norms, written in plain words with a line to confirm specifics with their own adviser.

Result: Terms buyers search for lead to a page of yours.

  4. Technical clean-up

Titles, headings, page speed, mobile layout, structured data and internal links checked and corrected.

Result: The site passes a basic crawl without blocking errors.

  5. Search Console set-up

The property verified, the sitemap submitted and the queries that bring visitors recorded.

Result: You can read which phrases already reach you.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which pages should be written first?
The ones nearest an order: the problem your pilot actually solved, written for the industry where the pilot ran. That page has a real site behind it, so it can carry proof the other pages cannot yet.
Do we need a blog for SEO?
Only where a buyer question needs a full answer. A page that explains a questionnaire or a cost problem is worth writing. A post written to fill a calendar is not, and we would rather leave it out.
Can you promise a ranking?
No. Rankings depend on competition, the site and the search engine. We work on what is in your control, which is page quality, structure and relevance, and we report what the tools show.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
