Film production houses · Content marketing

Write down how the house makes films so that a financier can judge it before the meeting.

Content marketing for a film production house means writing and publishing the material that explains how the house works, what it has made and what is in development. GullySales works on the pieces that a financier, distributor or outside unit reads when deciding whether to call.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the first conversation onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For film production houses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A financier wants to see how the budget is thought about”

A short piece on how a recent film was budgeted, scheduled and delivered tells an investor more than a poster. Without it, the buyer relies on rumour from the trade.

  • “The behind-the-scenes story is also a sales document”

A write-up of a difficult location or a tight schedule shows a service buyer what the crew does under pressure. Kept as a photo caption, it never reaches the person who would hire you.

  • “Trade press wants a reason to write about you”

An editor of a trade publication needs a hook: a casting, a market presence, a release. A short, accurate note ready in advance gets read; a poster sent without context does not.

What we do

What we deliver for film production houses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Producer's note on how the house works

A page in the producer's own voice on how projects are chosen, financed and delivered.

Result: A financier can read how you think before they call.

  2. Case notes on past productions

Short write-ups of finished films covering the challenge, the approach and the credits, checked with you.

Result: A buyer sees the working of the crew, not only the result.

  3. Project one-pagers

A one-page note per project in development for the trade and press.

Result: A journalist or buyer can understand the project in a single read.

  4. Press note templates

Ready outlines for a casting, a shoot start, a festival selection and a release.

Result: A note goes out when news breaks without starting from blank.

  5. Content calendar

A plan connecting what is published to the stages of each project.

Result: Each stage of a project has something to publish.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the content marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Confirm the plan

Topics and formats for the coming month are confirmed against the content strategy.

  2. 2

    Produce and review

Content is written or filmed, then reviewed by someone who knows your trade before it goes out.

  3. 3

    Publish and distribute

Finished content is published to the site and pushed through the channels your buyers actually use.

  4. 4

    Track enquiries

Enquiries are traced back to content where a direct line exists, and reported honestly where it does not.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

We report results and adjust the next topics based on what actually worked.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we have to reveal budgets or deals?
No. Write about method and decisions, not confidential figures or terms. Anything under an agreement stays out unless the other party agrees.
Who writes the pieces?
We draft them with your inputs and you approve every claim. Credits, awards and release details are taken from you, never supplied by us.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
