Film production houses · Lead generation

Match each project to the financier, buyer or outside unit that fits it.

Lead generation for a film production house means finding the financiers, co-producers, distributors, platform buyers and outside units who could back or hire a specific project. GullySales works on a target list for each project, the introduction note that travels with it and a record of who has replied.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For film production houses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A lead is a person with a slot to fill”

An acquisitions head at a distributor or platform has a slate to complete and a decision to justify to colleagues. A list of banner names with no named decision-maker produces calls that reach an assistant and stop there.

  • “Financiers differ by language and size of film”

A family office that backs a Marathi drama reads a pan-India action budget differently. Sending one deck to every investor spends the single introduction you get with each of them.

  • “Outside units find houses through other crews”

A foreign unit's line producer asks a location manager or a fixer which house to trust. Leads for service work sit inside those referral chains, and a written capability note gives the referrer something to pass on.

What we do

What we deliver for film production houses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Project-wise target list

For each project, a list of financiers, distributors and platforms whose earlier choices resemble it, with the named person who decides.

Result: You can see why each name is on the list and who to approach.

  2. Introduction note per project

A short note for an introducer to forward, stating the idea, the package and the ask in plain words.

Result: An introducer can forward your project without rewriting it.

  3. Service-production lead list

Line producers, production managers and agencies who place outside shoots, with a note on what each has booked before.

Result: A list you can add to whenever a unit enquires.

  4. First-call questions

A short set covering budget sought, territory, language, stage and who else signs off.

Result: Every enquiry is judged by the same questions.

  5. Reply record

A sheet noting who was approached, when and what came back.

Result: You can see which projects have no live conversation.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do you guarantee financiers or buyers?
No. We prepare the list, the notes and the introductions. Whether a financier invests or a buyer commits is their own decision, and terms are agreed between you and your advisers.
Should we approach everyone for every project?
No. Choose by fit: language, budget and the buyer's earlier choices. A short list approached with a considered note reads better to the recipient than a long list sent the same deck.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
