Fish hatcheries · Search engine optimisation

Appear when a farmer searches for the seed they plan to stock, in the words they use.

SEO for a fish hatchery is making your pages the answer when a farmer, trader or company searches for fish seed, fingerlings or spawn of a species in a district. GullySales works on the pages, the species names and the searches that lead a buyer to your gate.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For fish hatcheries

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Farmers search by species and local name”

A pond owner types rohu seed or pangasius fingerlings near a town, and may use a local name or a Hindi, Telugu or Bengali spelling. A page written only in textbook English never meets that search.

  • “Shrimp and carp buyers ask different questions”

A shrimp farm asks about post-larvae sources and testing; a carp farmer asks about size and collection day. One general page for everything answers neither buyer and ranks for neither search.

  • “Searches rise before stocking and then stop”

Interest gathers as the season approaches. A page that is thin or out of date when the farmer searches loses to a neighbour's, so the species pages are checked ahead of the rush and not after it.

  • “Companies search for proof, not for a price”

A large farm checking a supplier looks for broodstock source, testing and a named contact. A page that states these plainly is read by that buyer, while a page with only a phone number is passed over.

What we do

What we deliver for fish hatcheries.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each species you sell

Species, available sizes, the season they are ready and how seed is collected or sent, written in the language the buyer uses.

Result: Each species has its own page that answers a farmer's first three questions.

  2. Local names and spellings gathered

The names farmers and traders use for each species in your region, drawn from your own calls and register.

Result: A list of the spellings used across the pages and the Google listing.

  3. A broodstock and testing page

What you hold, where it came from and what testing is done, in plain words and only what you can show on paper.

Result: A company can read your practice without ringing.

  4. Title tags and headings checked

Every page given a title and heading that name the species and the place.

Result: Each page's title says what is sold and where.

  5. A search read-out from your own pages

The searches that brought visitors, read from the site's own tools, set beside the enquiries received.

Result: You can see which pages brought calls.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Will SEO bring orders in the first season?
We cannot promise rankings or orders, and search is slower than a phone call to last year's buyers. It builds a base that works season after season, so we run it beside the booking round and not in place of it.
Should the site be in a local language?
Where your buyers search in a local language, yes. We check how your farmers spell species and write the main pages for them, keeping an English version for companies and officials.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
