Magicians and mentalists · Local SEO

Show up on the map when a local parent looks for a magician near the party hall.

Local SEO for a magician or mentalist is the work on the Google Business Profile, the city pages and the reviews that decide whether a local host finds and trusts the performer. GullySales works on the profile, the service areas and the review replies.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For magicians and mentalists

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The parent searches near the party hall”

A family booking a hall in Koramangala or Kothrud looks for a magician who plays in that area. A profile that lists the localities you serve and the halls you have played puts you in that search.

  • “Reviews work as recommendations”

A page of genuine reviews from parents and planners is the nearest thing to a neighbour's recommendation. A profile with none gives the parent nothing to go on.

  • “A hall's vendor page links you to a trusted place”

A line on a banquet hall's list of recommended entertainers connects you to a venue the host already trusts. Asking for the line is local work.

  • “You work from home, not a shop”

A magician may not want a public home address with props and children visiting. A service-area profile with a hidden address lets you be found without publishing the home.

What we do

What we deliver for magicians and mentalists.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Google Business Profile for the performer

Name, type of performer, service area, staffed hours, phone, website and clips set up correctly.

Result: The performer appears on the map with true details.

  2. Service-area and locality pages

Pages for each area you travel to, with the halls and events played there, with permission.

Result: A local search finds a page for that place.

  3. A review request routine

A short message asking parents and planners for a review after the event, with the direct link.

Result: Each show can add to your reviews.

  4. A review reply guide

Replies to praise, to a date that could not be offered and to a complaint about a late arrival.

Result: Every review is answered in your voice.

  5. Hall and planner listings

A list of vendor pages and directories where you should appear with matching details.

Result: Your name, number and website match everywhere.

  6. Photographs of the setup

Images of the table, the stage and the props at real events, with faces cleared.

Result: A host can see what arrives at the hall.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

What decides whether a parent finds your map listing.

Relevance to a magician search
The profile type, the services listed and the words in your description should say magician, mentalist and birthday shows, so Google can match a parent's phrase.
Distance from the party hall
A service-area listing covers the localities you reach. Name the halls and areas honestly, because a family searches near their own venue.
Prominence through reviews and mentions
Genuine reviews from parents and planners, and a line on hall and planner pages, add weight. Ask after each show and reply to every review.
Directories that carry the same details
JustDial, Sulekha and party-planning listings should show the same name, number and website as the profile. Fix the mismatches before adding new listings.
Name, address and phone consistency
The same business name and number on the profile, the site, Instagram and every listing. A performer using a different spelling on each loses the match.

Who it is for

This is written for these magicians and mentalists.

  • Children's birthday party magicians
  • Stage illusionists for annual days and cultural evenings
  • Close-up and table magicians for weddings and receptions
  • Mentalists for corporate dinners and team events
  • Magicians for school visits and activity weeks
  • Comedy magicians for family shows and housing societies
  • Magic and balloon entertainers for play schools
  • Roaming magicians for malls, launches and exhibitions

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You only perform in your own society and do not travel, so a map listing would draw enquiries you will not serve
  • Nobody replies to reviews or checks the profile, and an unanswered review tells a parent the performer is hard to reach

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Write down what is true

Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.

  2. 2

    Search as your buyer does

We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.

  3. 3

    Fix the profile first

Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.

  4. 4

Build the branch pages and match the listings

Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.

  5. 5

    Ask, reply and measure

We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Is it safe to put my home on the map?
Not necessarily. A service-area profile hides the address while showing the places you serve. Google sets the rules for this, so GullySales checks the platform's current requirements with you before anything is published.
How do I ask a parent for a review?
Send a short, polite message after the party with a direct link. Never offer a discount or a free show in return for a review, and never write one yourself. A review request should read like a thank-you.
Do I list the children's party as a business type?
Choose the profile type that describes you, such as an entertainer or a magician, and add party services in the services section. Check Google's current guidelines before naming a type, because the list changes.
My shows are in other cities too. Do I need a profile in each?
One profile with a clear service area is the safer start. A separate profile needs a real address and staffed hours in that city, which a travelling performer rarely has. Check Google's current guidelines before opening a second one.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
