Magicians and mentalists · Search engine optimisation

Appear when a parent or planner searches for a magician or mentalist in your city.

SEO for a magician or mentalist is the work that makes your own site appear when someone searches for the kind of show they need in their city. GullySales works on the pages, the text around the clips and the technical basics.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For magicians and mentalists

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The search names the occasion and the city”

A parent types 'magician for kids birthday party in Hyderabad' and a company head types 'mentalist for corporate event Bengaluru'. A site that names the occasions and cities you serve gives search something to match.

  • “A reel on Instagram is not a page”

A clip posted on a social platform does not appear for those searches the way a page on your own site can. The page needs the clip, a description and the formats you offer.

  • “One page for every audience finds nobody”

A home page that says 'magic, mentalism, comedy, kids, corporate' does not match a precise search. Separate pages for birthday magic, close-up for weddings and corporate mentalism each answer one query.

  • “Party portals outrank a solo performer”

Listing sites collect the searches for entertainers. Your site must carry what a listing cannot: a real show clip, a clear idea of what the show includes and a direct enquiry route.

What we do

What we deliver for magicians and mentalists.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each kind of show

Children's birthday magic, close-up magic for weddings, stage magic for annual days and mentalism for corporate evenings, each written for the buyer of that show.

Result: The site answers precise searches by name.

  2. City and locality pages

A page for each city you travel to, naming halls and events played there with permission.

Result: A search with a city name finds a page for that city.

  3. Clips with written descriptions

Each video placed on a page with a description of the occasion, the audience size and the show length.

Result: The clip can be found and understood.

  4. Titles and descriptions for search

Page titles that carry the type of show, the occasion and the city.

Result: A search result tells the reader what and where before the click.

  5. A page that opens on a mobile connection

Video embedded sensibly so the page opens for a parent on a phone in a lift or a hall.

Result: A buyer watches a clip without waiting.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Who it is for

This is written for these magicians and mentalists.

  • Children's birthday party magicians
  • Stage illusionists for annual days and cultural evenings
  • Close-up and table magicians for weddings and receptions
  • Mentalists for corporate dinners and team events
  • Magicians for school visits and activity weeks
  • Comedy magicians for family shows and housing societies
  • Magic and balloon entertainers for play schools
  • Roaming magicians for malls, launches and exhibitions

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have no show clip you may display, so a page would describe an act the visitor cannot see
  • You have not decided which cities you will travel to, and a page for a city you will not visit wastes the visitor's time

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can one performer rank against party portals?
No promise can be made. A focused site with a real clip and a page for each city gives you a fair chance in specific searches, and some buyers want the direct route to the performer.
Do I need a blog?
Not at first. Pages for each show and city come first. Writing about how to plan entertainment for a children's party can follow when the pages are done.
Should I name my tricks on the site?
Name the effects a host would ask for, such as a floating object or a mind-reading routine, and never explain how they work. The page describes what the audience sees, which is what the buyer is searching for.
Is it worth a page for each city I have never played?
Only for cities you will travel to. Name the city, say what travel is quoted separately and mention any hall you have played there. A page that claims a city you do not serve sends the visitor to a call you cannot accept.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
