Mineral trading companies · WhatsApp marketing

Send rate sheets and available lots only to the buyers who asked for them.

WhatsApp is where mineral buyers and mines already talk to a trader, so using it with some order is a gain for both sides. GullySales works on the opt-in list, the layout of a rate message, the business account set-up and the record kept of what was sent.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For mineral trading companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Personal numbers carry the whole business”

Rates and lots move through each salesperson's own phone. When the salesperson leaves, the buyer chats and the contact list leave too, and the firm cannot see what was promised.

  • “Group broadcasts go to people who never asked”

A rate message sent to everyone in a phone book reaches buyers who do not want it and may report the number. Send only to those who agreed to receive rates, and give them a way to stop.

  • “A message without terms invites a call”

A rate that omits grade, delivery basis and validity prompts three questions by phone. A fixed layout answers them in the message and spares the desk the repeat calls.

  • “Mines use WhatsApp differently”

A supplier may send a photograph of a stack or a weighment slip, not a formal message. The business account should be able to hold those pictures against the right lot, not lose them in a long thread.

What we do

What we deliver for mineral trading companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Business account set-up

A WhatsApp Business profile with the firm's name, description, minerals and a catalogue or quick replies.

Result: A buyer who saves the number sees a firm, not a person.

  2. Opt-in list of rate recipients

A list of buyers who asked to receive rates, with the grades each one wants and a record of when they agreed.

Result: Every recipient on the list has a recorded consent.

  3. Rate message layout

A fixed layout stating grade, rate, basis of delivery, validity and contact, with an opt-out line.

Result: All rate messages go out in one form.

  4. Lot and photo filing

A routine for saving supplier photographs and slips against the lot in your record.

Result: A lot can be opened with its pictures attached.

  5. Handover rule

A rule that buyer chats are held on the firm's account so that a departing salesperson does not take them.

Result: The firm can read the history of each buyer conversation.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Messages a mineral trader can send a plant buyer, and what to keep.

Available lots to a buyer who asked
Send grade, size, quantity and loading point to a buyer who requested it. Keep the date and the answer in the record.
Test report for a lot
Send the file with the lot number. Save it against the buyer's record, so a later dispute has the paper.
Loading photos with weighbridge slip
Sent the day of loading. Shows the lot, the weight and the seal.
Vehicle details and expected arrival
Sent when the truck leaves, with the driver's contact only if the plant needs it.
Request for an unloading weight
A single question when the lot arrives. Keep the answer for any weight claim.

Who it is for

This is written for these mineral trading companies.

  • Iron ore and manganese traders serving steel and ferroalloy plants
  • Coal and coke traders for industry
  • Limestone, dolomite and silica traders
  • Bauxite and other ore traders
  • Industrial mineral traders buying from several mines
  • Aggregate and sand traders supplying infrastructure projects
  • Commission agents and brokers working between mines and plants
  • Traders who also export part of what they buy

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The contact list was copied from a directory, and none of those people asked to hear from you
  • Your rates would go to every contact at once, including buyers you want to quote differently
  • The team uses personal numbers and will not move chats into a shared record

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we send rates to our whole contact list?
We advise against it. Send to buyers who asked for rates and keep a record of that request. Check the platform's current rules on business messaging before any bulk sending.
Do we need the official business API?
Not to begin. The WhatsApp Business app is enough for a small desk. A larger team that wants shared inboxes and recorded history can move to the API later.
Will buyers mind a business number?
A plant that already trusts you will keep dealing as before. The firm's number simply makes sure the conversation stays with the firm when staff change.
How do mines use WhatsApp differently from plants?
A mine replies in voice notes or photographs of the face and stock, while a plant wants a document. Ask each in the way it answers, and record the content in the same lot entry so the two sides line up.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
