Plastic injection moulding units · Sales training

Train the quoting team to answer an RFQ instead of just pricing a drawing.

Sales training for a moulding unit teaches the quoting and sales team how to read an RFQ fully. It also covers stating tooling lead time and capacity honestly, and following up a sample without waiting to be asked. GullySales trains your actual team on your actual RFQ process, not a generic sales script.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

A training room before a session: a flip chart hung on the wall under a clock, the front row of chairs set out on the floor, one chair just lifted down and still out of line, the rest of the chairs stacked, and the handouts waiting on the floor

What sales training means

Sales training teaches a sales team a skill it does not yet have, such as handling a specific objection or running a proper site visit, usually through a structured session. GullySales runs these sessions around real objections and calls from your business rather than generic sales theory.

For plastic injection moulding units

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Reading the full RFQ, not just the drawing”

An RFQ often states expected annual volume and target price alongside the drawing. A quoting engineer who prices only the drawing misses details that change whether the quote should be aggressive or cautious.

  • “Stating tooling lead time honestly, even when it is longer than hoped”

A quoting team pressured to promise a shorter tooling lead time to win the RFQ creates a delivery problem later. Training covers how to state a real timeline while still making the case for the unit.

  • “Following up a sample without being chased”

A sales contact trained to call three days after a sample is delivered does not wait for the buyer to respond. This catches tolerance issues and objections while they are still easy to fix.

What we do

What we deliver for plastic injection moulding units.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An RFQ-reading session using real enquiries

A training session walking the quoting team through real RFQs, covering volume and target price detail as well as the drawing.

Result: The team stops missing detail that changes how a quote should be priced.

  2. Honest lead time scripting for the quoting team

Guidance and example wording for stating a real tooling lead time on a quote, while still making the case for the unit.

Result: Promises made to win an RFQ stop creating delivery problems later.

  3. A sample follow-up habit built into training

Training that sets a fixed point, a few days after a sample ships, for the sales contact to call without waiting to be asked.

Result: Tolerance issues and objections surface while they are still easy to fix.

  4. A review of real quotes and outcomes

A follow-up session weeks later reviewing actual quotes given and what happened to them, against what was covered in training.

Result: The training changes what the team actually does, not just what they were told.

How the result is measured

  • Skill assessment scores
  • Objection handling improvement
  • Conversion rate after training

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for plastic injection moulding units

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where the unit is listed and how it appears against the process, material and tonnage buyers actually search for. We also check how fast RFQs are answered, and where sample approvals are stalling.

  2. 2

Fix the listings and the RFQ reply

IndiaMART and directory profiles updated with current tonnage, materials and past components, and a same-day RFQ response routine the quoting team can actually run.

  3. 3

    Build the capability collateral

A capability document and web pages that state tonnage range, tooling lead time, resins handled and certifications, so a buyer can shortlist the unit without a phone call first.

  4. 4

Win the RFQ and the sample order

Outbound prospecting to OEM sourcing teams, a tender and RFP process that does not miss a submission date, and a sample follow-up routine that keeps approval moving.

  5. 5

Keep the account and grow it

A record of every RFQ and sample by buyer, an on-time delivery track record kept visible, and outreach for the next component once the first order is running smoothly.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Who needs this training, the sales team or the quoting engineers?
Both, since the quoting engineer usually writes the technical response and the sales contact manages the follow-up, and each needs to understand the other's part of the process.
How long does training take?
A half-day session covering RFQ handling and sample follow-up, with a review of real quotes and outcomes a few weeks later.
How is marketing different for a moulding unit compared to a consumer brand?
A moulding unit is bought by a procurement engineer comparing tonnage, tooling lead time and an RFQ reply, not persuaded by a social media post. The work is visibility on IndiaMART and directories, a fast and complete RFQ response, and collateral that shows real capability.
Do we need ads or SEO for a moulding unit?
Most units get more from a complete, current directory listing and a faster RFQ reply than from advertising. Search visibility helps once the listings and response process are solid and the unit wants to be found for a specific process or material.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
