Income tax consultants · Local SEO

Be the consultant a taxpayer finds on the map when the office is a short ride away.

Local SEO for an income tax consultant is the work of appearing in the map results for filing and notice searches in your own area, where a taxpayer wants to hand over papers in person. GullySales works on the listing, the service details and the review requests behind that appearance.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For income tax consultants

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The taxpayer wants to hand the papers over”

Even with online filing, a client with property papers or a bundle of broker statements prefers an office they can reach. A listing that shows the area, the floor and the working hours decides whether they come or choose another.

  • “The listing says CA and nothing about tax”

A profile with a general accountancy label and a thin description appears for audit and company work, not for a person searching for return filing near them. The services list has to name individual returns, notices and capital gains.

  • “Reviews must come from people who agree”

A review request that pressures a client is a risk, and a client's tax details have no place in a public reply. A polite request after a finished job, with consent, builds the profile without exposing anyone.

  • “The July rush closes the phone”

In the busiest weeks the office phone rings out, and the listing's call button sends people to a voicemail. The listing needs a booking route that someone answers, and hours that match the days the office actually opens.

What we do

What we deliver for income tax consultants.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A complete Google Business Profile

Services named one by one, the working area, hours including the busy season, photographs of the office and entrance, and the booking route.

Result: The profile reads as a tax office, not a general business.

  2. Services listed in a taxpayer's words

Individual return filing, notice reply, capital gains, NRI returns and advance tax entered as separate services with a short line each.

Result: A search for one service finds the matching line.

  3. A consent-based review request

A short message sent after a completed job, with the link, and a standard reply to each review that keeps client details out. A CA checks ICAI guidance on client reviews first.

Result: Reviews arrive from clients who chose to write them.

  4. Consistent name, address and phone across listings

The same details on your listing, your website and the directories where taxpayers look, with old entries corrected.

Result: The office appears with one set of details everywhere.

  5. A directions and booking route

A link on the listing to a WhatsApp number or booking page that is answered in office hours, and a note about parking or the nearest landmark.

Result: A taxpayer can find the door and book a slot from the listing.

  6. A count of calls and direction requests

The listing's own figures for calls, direction taps and website visits, recorded before work starts and read afterwards.

Result: You can see whether the listing sent anyone to the office.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we list every neighbourhood we serve?
List the areas people travel from, not every locality in the city. A long list weakens the profile on the streets near the office. Your own client addresses show where people actually come from.
Can we reply to a review that names a client's tax matter?
Reply in general terms and thank the writer, without confirming any detail of the work. If the review is wrong, invite the writer to call you. Check the platform's current rules on removal requests.
We share an office with a CA firm. Do we list separately?
If your practice has its own name, phone and hours, it can have its own profile. Shared addresses can cause listing problems, so check the platform's current rules and keep names the same on your website.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
