Income tax consultants · Social media

Post the answers a taxpayer saves, not a greeting on the due date.

Social media marketing for an income tax consultant is the use of LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and WhatsApp channels to explain tax situations in short, clear posts to the people who might hire you. GullySales works on the topics, the formats and the way a post leads to an enquiry.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For income tax consultants

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The festive greeting reaches nobody who files”

A poster wishing clients a happy new year gathers a few likes from existing contacts. A post explaining what a mismatch notice means gets saved by the taxpayer who needs it next month. The second post earns trust, and the first earns nothing.

  • “LinkedIn reaches the people with ESOPs”

Salaried professionals with stock compensation, relocation and a second income spend time on LinkedIn. A post on how their situation is taxed, written in general terms, reaches them where they already read about work.

  • “Short video suits the notice explainer”

A taxpayer who is anxious about a notice will watch a short video that explains it calmly. A single clear question answered on camera, with a plain slide behind it, does more than a long lecture on the budget.

  • “Posts that sound like advice become a risk”

A post that tells a reader what to do with their own return, without their facts, can mislead. Posts should explain how something works in general terms and invite the reader to bring their papers for advice. A CA checks ICAI guidance on publicity.

What we do

What we deliver for income tax consultants.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A topic list drawn from client questions

The questions clients actually asked this year, grouped by situation, turned into post ideas without any client detail.

Result: You have a bank of topics that real taxpayers wanted answered.

  2. Post formats for each platform

A text post and carousel for LinkedIn, a short explainer for Instagram and YouTube, and a status-style note for WhatsApp, each with a closing line that points to your enquiry route.

Result: Each platform has a format that suits how people read there.

  3. A calendar tied to the tax year

Topics placed against the advance tax dates, the filing due date and the March year end, with space for notices in the news.

Result: Posts arrive when the question is live for the reader.

  4. A review step before posting

A check by you on every post for accuracy and for anything that identifies a client, with the date of the rules stated.

    Result: Nothing goes out unreviewed.

  5. A link from every post to an answer page

Each post points to the page on your site for that situation, with a tracked route so enquiries from social can be counted.

Result: You can tell which posts brought a conversation.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which platform should we start with?
Start where your best clients are. For salaried professionals and ESOP holders, LinkedIn. For small traders and families, WhatsApp and Instagram. We look at your client list before picking, and add a second platform only if the first works.
Can we use client stories in posts?
Avoid them. A client's tax matter is private, and a story with details removed can still be recognised. Explain the situation in general terms, and check what ICAI guidance allows on publicity if you are a CA.
How do we handle questions posted in the comments?
Reply with a general pointer and invite the reader to message you privately for specifics. Never ask for a PAN, a password or an account number in public, and do not give advice on facts you have not seen.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
