Income tax consultants · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the notice a worried taxpayer has just read, not for income tax services.

SEO for an income tax consultant is the work of making each situation a taxpayer searches, from a mismatch notice to tax on an ESOP sale, answerable by one page of yours. GullySales works on the page structure, the wording and the technical basics behind those pages.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For income tax consultants

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The search is the text of the email”

A taxpayer with an intimation types the section number or the line from the department email. A page that explains that exact message and names the first document to gather matches the search. A page titled income tax services matches nothing in particular.

  • “One page for everything ranks for nothing”

When salary returns, NRI cases, capital gains and notices share one page, the page has no single subject. Search engines cannot tell which question it answers, and the reader who lands on it cannot find their own situation.

  • “The Finance Act makes old pages wrong”

Rules and limits change with each Finance Act. A page quoting last year's figure harms trust the moment a reader checks it. Each page needs a date, a review by you and a habit of stating rules in general terms.

  • “The reader leaves after two paragraphs”

A worried taxpayer reads the opening, scans for their own case and decides. If the first screen explains the notice calmly and shows how to reach you, the reader stays. If it opens with the firm's history, they return to the results.

What we do

What we deliver for income tax consultants.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A map of the situations people search

A list of the notices, return types and transactions your clients bring, matched to the words taxpayers use and sorted by the work you want most.

Result: You can see which page is missing for each situation you take.

  2. Pages written from the taxpayer's side

Each page opens with what the notice or situation means, lists the documents to gather and ends with one enquiry route.

Result: A reader can act on the page without calling first.

  3. Titles and headings set in searched words

Page titles, headings and descriptions that carry the notice name, the return type or the transaction, written to read naturally.

Result: Each page announces its subject in the first line the search result shows.

  4. A review and dating routine for tax pages

A date on each page, a place where you note the review, and a list of pages to recheck after each Finance Act.

Result: Every page shows when it was last checked.

  5. Technical basics on the site

Mobile loading, page speed, a sitemap, clean addresses and links between related pages, checked page by page.

Result: The pages open cleanly on a phone and link to each other.

  6. A baseline of positions and enquiries

Where your pages appear for the searches that matter and how many enquiries arrived from search, recorded before work starts.

Result: Later results are set against what was written down at the start.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can you write the tax content for us?
We write in plain words and general terms, and you review every page for accuracy before it goes live. We do not give tax advice, and a page carries no figure unless you supply the current one.
Will SEO work if a filing app already ranks above us?
Apps win the simple return search. A notice, a property sale or a foreign income case needs explanation, and a specific page can compete there. Rankings are never promised, and we say which searches look winnable.
How do we avoid copying other consultants' pages?
Write from the cases you handle. A page built on the questions your own clients ask, in your own order, reads differently from a rewrite of the department's guide, and search engines favour the page that adds something.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
