Strategy consulting firms · Content marketing

Publish the reasoning behind a decision before a board has to make it.

Content marketing for a strategy firm is writing that shows how the partners think about a decision in the sectors they know. GullySales interviews the partners, drafts pieces in plain words and keeps every piece under the partner's approval.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the first conversation onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For strategy consulting firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A thick report is not content”

Promoters do not read long reports from firms they have not met. A page that sets out one decision, the options and the partner's view in plain words gets read to the end and passed to a co-director.

  • “A generic framework signals nothing”

A matrix that any firm could publish tells a buyer nothing about this firm. The piece that persuades names a real situation in a sector, such as a family group weighing a second plant, and reasons through it as the partner would.

  • “Content must reach people, not just sit on the site”

A published piece does nothing until a banker, auditor or investor sees it. Each piece goes to a named reader list from the partner, with a line on why it concerns that reader, as well as to the website.

  • “Client work needs permission”

Case material is valuable and sensitive. An account of past work goes out only with the client's written approval and with names removed. Where approval is withheld, the partner's sector reasoning does the same job.

What we do

What we deliver for strategy consulting firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A round of partner interviews

Recorded conversations with each partner on the decisions they see, turned into a topic list.

Result: The topic list comes from the partners' own experience.

  2. A decision note template

A fixed shape for a short piece: the decision, the options, the trade-offs and the partner's view.

Result: Every note has the same structure, so a reader knows what to expect.

  3. A draft and approval flow

Drafts go to the named partner, are changed into the partner's words and are published only after written approval.

Result: No piece goes out unapproved.

  4. A distribution list for each piece

For every note, the people who should see it and a covering line for each.

Result: The partner knows who received what.

  5. A record from reading to enquiry

Replies and enquiries entered against the piece that prompted them.

Result: The partners see which topics bring sponsors in.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the content marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Confirm the plan

Topics and formats for the coming month are confirmed against the content strategy.

  2. 2

    Produce and review

Content is written or filmed, then reviewed by someone who knows your trade before it goes out.

  3. 3

    Publish and distribute

Finished content is published to the site and pushed through the channels your buyers actually use.

  4. 4

    Track enquiries

Enquiries are traced back to content where a direct line exists, and reported honestly where it does not.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

We report results and adjust the next topics based on what actually worked.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How long should a piece be?
As long as the decision needs. The aim is a single decision explained clearly, and we cut anything that does not help the reader decide.
Can we turn a client engagement into a case?
Only with the client's written permission and with names and identifying details removed. We never write about live work.
We have no time to write. Is that a problem?
The partner's time goes on conversation and approval. We draft from what the partner says, and the partner reviews, corrects and signs off.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
