Tax lawyers · Digital marketing

Plan online work around the few routes through which tax briefs reach your chambers.

Digital marketing for a tax lawyer is the choice of which online routes to use and which to leave alone, given that briefs come through advisers and a taxpayer's search. Not every channel suits a profession with strict advertising rules. GullySales builds a plan from your own briefs and the rules you work under.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For tax lawyers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Start from how the last briefs arrived”

If the recent matters came through chartered accountants, then adviser material and search matter, and a display campaign does not. The plan follows the evidence in your files and not a template.

  • “Some channels are closed to you by the rules”

Paid promotion, offers and result claims can breach advocates' rules, which differ by bar council. Your council decides what you may do, so each channel in the plan is checked against its guidance.

  • “Search and referrals work together”

A chartered accountant recommends you, then the taxpayer searches for your name. If the search shows an accurate site and profile, the recommendation holds. If it shows nothing, the referral cools.

  • “A small, consistent effort beats a scattered one”

A site, a profile, a handful of explainers and a referrer note kept current serve a chambers better than five channels half-run. The plan chooses a few and keeps them maintained.

What we do

What we deliver for tax lawyers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel plan traced to your briefs

A short document naming the routes your recent briefs took and the channels chosen to strengthen them.

Result: Each channel in the plan links to a source of briefs.

  2. A rules check on every channel

A note against each channel on what is allowed, marked for your bar council's guidance to be confirmed.

Result: You can see which channels carry a compliance question.

  3. A site, profile and explainer base

The core set of pages, listings and notice explainers that other channels point to.

Result: There is one reliable place for every link to land.

  4. A referrer programme outline

A plain plan for keeping advisers informed without any payment for referrals.

Result: The adviser route has a written plan.

  5. A read of briefs against effort

A comparison of briefs signed against the work put into each channel.

Result: A channel that brings no briefs is reviewed.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand the objective

We agree the one thing this campaign needs to achieve before choosing any channel.

  2. 2

    Audit available channels

We assess which channels are realistic to run well within the budget and timeline.

  3. 3

    Strategise the central idea

One message and offer is developed that will work across every planned channel.

  4. 4

    Implement across channels

Each channel receives its own adapted version, launched on a shared timeline.

  5. 5

    Measure as one campaign

Results from every channel are combined into a single report against the original objective.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do tax lawyers need social media and ads?
Not both. Social media is an optional way of staying visible to advisers, and paid ads carry rule questions. The plan starts with what your briefs show and what your council permits.
What is the first thing to fix?
The thing a referred taxpayer sees first: the site, the profile and the notice explainers. We look at what a searcher finds when typing your name, then decide.
Can we buy leads from a portal?
Check first. Advocates' rules on soliciting and paid introductions differ, and referral fees are not allowed to be offered or taken. Ask your own bar council before any such arrangement.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
