Business consultants · Local SEO

Show up for the owner who wants a consultant on site this week.

Local SEO decides whether an owner searching for an ISO consultant in their own city finds you or a directory listing. GullySales sets up your Google Business Profile, writes pages for the districts you travel to, and gets you listed where quality heads and promoters go looking.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Realistic editorial illustration of business consultants at work in India

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For business consultants

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A consultant working from home still needs a profile”

Run the Business Profile as a service area listing, naming the districts you cover without publishing the address of your flat. Leave it blank and the owner sees only the large firms.

  • “Distance is a real objection on factory work”

A promoter in Peenya wants somebody who can be on the shop floor on Tuesday morning. Say which areas you travel to and how often you visit during an engagement.

  • “Certification searches carry a town name, advisory searches do not”

A quality head searches ISO 9001 consultant plus the city. An owner facing a succession fight asks his CA instead, so the map results matter for half your work.

What we do

What we deliver for business consultants.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A service area profile that does not publish your flat

The Google Business Profile set up with the districts you cover, the right consulting category and the address withheld.

Result: You appear in local results without putting your home on a map.

  2. Travel and site-visit terms written down

How often you are on the shop floor during an engagement, which areas you reach, and what travel adds to the fee.

Result: The promoter in Peenya knows on Tuesday what he is actually getting.

  3. A page for each district you have genuinely worked in

The kind of units you have worked with there and the engagements you ran, rather than one template with the area name swapped.

Result: Every city page has something true on it.

  4. Listings where quality heads and promoters go looking

IndiaMART, JustDial, the association directories and the certification body panels, all carrying the same name, number and description.

Result: The search that starts outside Google still ends at you.

  5. The city put into the titles of your certification pages

ISO 9001, ZED and export registration pages named with the town beside the standard, because that is how a quality head types it.

Result: The half of your work that is searched locally can be found locally.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How an owner in a district finds a consultant for certification, and what to fix first.

Category for your core work
Choose the category closest to your main work, such as business management consultant. Look through the category list for a nearer match to your specialism. Do not add categories for services you only mention in passing.
Specialisms as services
List ISO 9001, ZED certification, process audits or export advisory, as you actually deliver them. Say what the client gets at the end, such as a certificate-ready system, not the standard's full name only.
Industrial estates by name
Plant owners search by estate. Name the ones you serve, such as KIADB, MIDC, GIDC or SIPCOT areas, on the district pages. That is where a factory head decides whether you are close enough to visit.
Where promoters look
Claim Justdial and Sulekha, and the member list of your local chamber of commerce or industries association. Many promoters ask each other first, so a listing there carries weight a general directory does not.
Name and registration
Write the firm name as on GST and the letterhead. Quality heads check these when a certification body asks who helped. Use the same spelling on the website, the profile and every directory.
Reviews without client names
Ask the client to describe the work in general terms, such as an audit cleared for a machining unit, without figures or names if the contract is confidential. They can post from their own account.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local seo work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we have to publish our office address on Google?
No. Choose the service area option, list the districts you cover and keep the address hidden. Owners still get your phone number and the profile still shows in local results.
We take clients across India. Is one city worth the effort?
Start with the city you sit in, where word of mouth already favours you. A page for another city earns its place once you have done an engagement there.
Should the founder have a listing as well as the firm?
Usually one listing is enough. Two profiles for one office compete and can be flagged as duplicates. A separate one is for a person who meets the public under their own name at a place of their own. Put the founder's name in the description and on a page.
Can we reply publicly to a review from a client when the work is confidential?
Reply in general words, thank them, and say nothing about their plant, process or results. Confirming that someone is a client can itself breach an agreement. Keep the answer short and invite them to call. Check your engagement letter for what it allows.
How can we market our work if every client is confidential?
Describe the problem and the approach without the name. For example, an account of how an auto component supplier fixed its costing is useful proof with no name attached. Some clients will also agree to be named once asked properly.
Should a consultant specialise or stay general?
Specialise in how you are presented, even if you take broader work. Owners search for their problem, and a consultant known for one thing gets referred more often than one who does everything.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
