Photography and videography studios · Content marketing

Write the answers couples search for at two in the morning.

Content marketing for a studio is publishing what a client wants before they message: what a package covers, how many hours a wedding day needs, when the album arrives. GullySales writes those pages and the venue guides, uses them in the quote, and tracks which ones bring enquiries.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the first conversation onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For photography and videography studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A venue guide is a page only a working studio can write”

You know where the light falls in that hall at four o'clock and where the baraat comes in. Write it down for the venues you shoot at most and couples booked there will find you.

  • “The shot list is the thing they print”

A couple planning their own day wants a checklist of moments, from the haldi to the family group photographs. It gets shared around the family with your name on it.

  • “Brands want the process, not the gallery”

A marketing manager needs to know how a product shoot runs, what a shoot day takes to plan and who supplies the samples. One page on that answers what a gallery never will.

What we do

What we deliver for photography and videography studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page per package explaining what is covered

Hours, crew, events, edited frames, albums and delivery dates written out in plain words for each package you sell.

Result: The quote conversation starts halfway through.

  2. Venue notes for the halls you shoot at most

A page per venue on the light, the layout, where the ceremony sits and how the day usually runs, illustrated with your own frames.

Result: Couples booked at that hall land on your page.

  3. A shot list and timeline couples can print

A downloadable checklist of the moments and the timings for a wedding day, made to be shared with the family planning it.

Result: Your studio is in the planning documents.

  4. A process page for commercial clients

How a product or corporate shoot is planned, what is needed from them, the number of frames and the turnaround.

Result: A brand can judge you without a phone call.

  5. Reporting on enquiries by page

Readers and enquiries traced to each piece, set against the enquiry figures recorded before work started.

Result: You keep the pages that earn their place.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Questions buyers ask first

The questions a couple or a brand asks before shortlisting a studio, and the page that answers each.

What is included in each package: hours, photographers, video, album?
A package page per option. Say how many photographers and videographers, how many hours, which edits and deliverables, and what is extra, such as a second day or travel.
Can you shoot at my venue, and have you shot there before?
A venue page for each hall or resort you shoot at often. Note the light, the lanes for the baraat, where the stage is, and which spots work, with your own photographs of that place.
How do I plan the shot list and the timeline for the wedding day?
A printable shot list and timeline: haldi, sangeet, muhurat, family portraits, evening. Say who gives you the family list, and what a late muhurat does to the plan.
What do I own after the shoot: RAW files, edited photographs, video?
A rights and delivery page. State what the client receives, in which format, how long you keep the files, and whether you may use them in your portfolio. Put the same terms in the contract.
How do I brief a product or corporate shoot, and what do you need from me?
A commercial brief page. List the shot types, the product samples, brand guidelines, location, usage rights and the approvals needed. Add a short form that gathers these details.
How do I book a date, and what is the advance?
A booking page. Explain how a date is held, what the advance covers, what happens if the couple changes the date, and what the cancellation terms are, in simple words.

Who it is for

This is written for these photography and videography studios.

  • Wedding photography and cinematography studios
  • Event and corporate videographers
  • Product and e-commerce photography studios
  • Maternity and family portrait photographers
  • Real estate and architecture photographers
  • Drone and aerial videography services
  • Multi-photographer studio chains

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have no recent delivered work to describe, and a venue guide needs shoots you have actually done.
  • No one on the team will write or approve a page, and a half-finished guide is worse than none.

How it works

How the content marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the plan

Topics and formats come from the content strategy and the buyer-question list. The volume goes into the written scope, agreed with you, not into a number quoted on a call.

  2. 2

    Brief and draft

Each piece starts from its one-page brief and a short conversation with your technical person, recorded if they allow it, so the draft uses their words.

  3. 3

    Check the facts

Your person marks the draft for accuracy and we correct it. Regulated subjects also go to your own adviser, because restrictions on claims apply to articles as much as to advertisements.

  4. 4

    Publish and distribute

The piece goes live on your site, then out through the channels where your buyers already are.

  5. 5

    Read the enquiries and adjust

Results are reported against the baseline recorded before work began. Topics that brought readers but no enquiries are changed or dropped. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We are photographers, not writers. How does this get done?
We write it from a conversation. An hour with you produces the venue notes, the package explanations and the timeline answers you already give on every call. You read it back and correct the things only you would know.
Does writing actually bring shoots?
The useful pages do: venue notes, planning timelines, package explanations. General posts about photography trends bring other photographers. Enquiries are reported against each page, so the ones doing nothing get dropped.
Should we publish whole wedding galleries?
Only with the couple's written permission, and keep it to a short selection. A full gallery can show guests, children and relatives who did not agree. Show variety: different venues, rituals and light. A hundred well-chosen photographs say more than a full album.
Is a behind-the-scenes video worth making?
It can be. A short film of how a day is covered, with the team, the gear and the plan, shows a couple what working with you feels like. Keep it to a minute, and get consent from anyone filmed. Put it on the package page, not instead of it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
