Photography and videography studios · Professional services

Get booked for the wedding season before the enquiry goes to a studio with more reviews.

A couple choosing a wedding photographer scrolls through reels and Google reviews of five or six studios before messaging any of them. A company booking a product shoot or an event film asks for a portfolio link and a quote the same afternoon. In both cases the studio that is easy to find and replies fast gets the advance booking.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Realistic editorial illustration of photography and videography studios at work in India

In one paragraph

Photography marketing means putting a portfolio in front of a couple or a brand at the moment they shortlist studios, since the work cannot be tried before it is bought. Photography sales turns that enquiry into a held date and an advance. GullySales builds the shoot-type pages, the reviews and the quick quote that close it.

Posting reels alone does not fill a calendar. A studio needs a portfolio organised by the kind of shoot a customer is searching for, and reviews from real weddings and events. It also needs a quote and booking process fast enough that the date is not lost to a studio that replied first.

How buyers decide

How photography and videography studios are chosen.

Wedding and event bookings are seasonal and decided months in advance. A couple shortlists studios from Instagram and wedding directories and checks the portfolio for a similar venue or budget. They message two or three for a quote before the good dates on the calendar are taken.

Corporate and product shoot enquiries move faster and are decided on turnaround time and past client work in the same category. A brand wanting product photography wants to see other product catalogues, not wedding albums.

Referrals from a recent wedding or event carry weight, but only if the studio's Google profile and recent reviews back up the referral when the prospective client checks.

The problem

What usually goes wrong for photography and videography studios.

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “The portfolio does not match what people are searching for”

Instagram is full of wedding reels but the website has no page for corporate events or product photography, so those enquiries never find the studio.

  • “Quotes take days to go out”

A bride asking for a package on a Sunday gets a reply on Wednesday, by when two other studios have already sent quotes and held the date.

  • “Reviews are thin outside of one good season”

A strong wedding season two years ago produced most of the reviews, and recent event and corporate work has no proof to show a new enquiry.

  • “Our WedMeGood profile still shows albums from three seasons ago”

Couples shortlist on wedding directories as much as on Instagram. A stale directory profile makes a busy studio look like it stopped working.

  • “Our best work sits on a hard drive instead of the website”

The last three weddings we shot never made it online, so a new enquiry sees older work that does not reflect what we do now.

  • “A corporate client wants a quick turnaround and we cannot promise one clearly”

The brief does not say how fast edited photographs or films will be delivered, so a company comparing studios picks the one that states a turnaround.

  • “We do not follow up after sending a quote”

A couple who asked for a quote goes quiet, and nobody calls back to check whether the date is still needed.

  • “A second photographer or associate books a wedding and we lose track of it”

With more than one photographer taking bookings, two enquiries for the same date are not noticed until a client is already disappointed.

What we do

What we do for photography and videography studios.

Everything included for photography and videography studios, and the result each part is there to produce.

  1. Portfolio pages organised by shoot type

Separate pages for weddings, corporate events and product photography, each with recent, delivered work rather than a single mixed gallery.

Result: A visitor searching for one kind of shoot sees exactly that work.

  2. A quote template the team can send within hours

A ready quote format covering packages and add-ons, so a request on WhatsApp, phone or a contact form gets a fast reply.

Result: A couple or company gets a quote before booking with another studio.

  3. A booking and date-tracking record

One shared record of enquiries, quotes sent and dates held, visible to every photographer taking bookings.

Result: No two enquiries are accepted for the same date by mistake.

  4. A quote follow-up sequence

A scheduled follow-up for any quote that has not had a reply within a few days, by WhatsApp or a call.

Result: A quiet enquiry gets one more chance to convert before the date is gone.

  5. A review request routine after each delivery

A timed ask for a review sent after a wedding, event or shoot is delivered, across every kind of work the studio does.

Result: Reviews build up across all shoot types, not just one strong season.

  6. Reels and social posts from recent deliveries

A content plan pulling reels and posts from the most recently delivered weddings, events and product shoots.

Result: The social feed shows current work instead of an old season.

  7. A report against your enquiry baseline

Enquiries, quotes sent and bookings confirmed reported against the baseline recorded before work started.

Result: You see which kind of shoot is actually filling the calendar.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries by kind of shoot
  • Quote turnaround time
  • Enquiries that became a booked advance
  • New reviews per month
  • Repeat and referral bookings

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Priority campaigns

Campaigns for what photography and videography studios most want to sell.

Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.

  • Wedding season booking campaign

Content and advertising for wedding photography and cinematic films prepared months ahead of the main wedding season, timed to when couples start shortlisting studios.

Result: The studio is in the shortlist before the good dates are taken.

  • Pre-wedding and destination shoot campaign

A dedicated portfolio page and social content for pre-wedding and destination shoots, prepared to be visible when a couple books their main wedding photographer.

Result: A couple booking the wedding also considers the studio for the pre-wedding shoot.

  • Corporate event coverage campaign

A proposal template and outreach to companies planning annual events or product launches, prepared ahead of the season when corporate event budgets are usually approved.

Result: A company planning an event has a quote ready before it asks competitors.

  • Product and catalogue photography campaign

Outreach and a portfolio page for e-commerce and catalogue photography, aimed at brands ahead of a seasonal catalogue refresh or a festive sale.

Result: A brand refreshing its catalogue finds the studio before choosing a freelancer.

  • Maternity and newborn shoot campaign

Content and local advertising for maternity and newborn photography, timed around when expecting parents typically start searching, in the final trimester.

Result: An expecting family finds the studio while they are still deciding.

Beyond search

Where we reach buyers of photography and videography studios, beyond Google.

Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.

  • Wedding planners and banquet venues

A referral arrangement and a shareable portfolio link prepared for wedding planners and venues who recommend photographers to couples.

  • Wedding exhibitions and bridal fairs

A stall handout and a portfolio book prepared for local wedding exhibitions, where couples compare several studios in one visit.

  • Event management companies

An outreach list and a proposal template prepared for event management companies who subcontract photography and videography for corporate events.

  • Real estate developers and brokers

A portfolio page and an outreach list prepared for developers and brokers who need photography for new project launches.

  • Corporate marketing and HR departments

A proposal template prepared for the marketing or HR teams that book annual event coverage and internal video content.

How it works

How the work runs for photography and videography studios

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your portfolio against what people actually search for, how fast quotes go out, and where last season's bookings came from.

  2. 2

Fix the portfolio and the quote

Pages organised by the kind of shoot, a quote template the team can send within hours, and a record of every enquiry and the date it was for.

  3. 3

Build the pages that get found

A page for weddings, one for corporate events and one for product photography, each with real work and a way to check the date.

  4. 4

    Bring enquiries in

Local search for the shoot types you want more of, reels for reach, and Google Ads before the wedding season when the good dates go fast.

  5. 5

    Keep them coming back

A referral ask after every delivered wedding or event, and a reminder to past corporate clients before their next shoot season.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

GullySales builds every engagement from three pieces of sales work. This page is not one of them, but the same three steps apply to the business behind it.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions photography and videography studios ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need ads before the wedding season?
Yes, if the good dates are already filling up for competitors. Ads bring enquiries fast; the portfolio and reviews are what convert them once they arrive.
How long before we rank for wedding photography in our city?
It takes sustained work on a sound site, because the search is competitive in most cities. The Google Business Profile and reviews usually move faster, and we track both against your baseline.
Should we show starting package rates on the website?
Usually yes, as a 'from' figure for each package. Couples filter studios by budget before they message, and a studio with no figure gets the enquiries least likely to book. The full quote still depends on the venue, days and deliverables.
Can we post a couple's wedding photos without asking them?
Ask first, in writing, ideally in the booking terms. Most couples agree, some want only certain events shared, and a few refuse. A consent line in the contract saves an awkward call after a reel goes up.
How do we hold a date before the couple pays the full advance?
Offer a short hold against a token amount, with the expiry date written in the quote. The couple gets time to decide and the date is never left in doubt. We add the hold and its expiry to the shared enquiry record.
Two of our photographers take bookings. How do we avoid double-booking?
One shared calendar and enquiry record that every photographer checks before quoting a date. It sounds basic, but most double-bookings happen because each photographer keeps their own WhatsApp list.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
