Waterproofing contractors · Real estate and construction
Be the applicator the builder's engineer names, not the one found after the basement floods.
A secretary of an apartment association in Bengaluru calls three waterproofing firms about a damp basement wall. One sends a man who taps the wall and gives a rate per square foot. One asks for photographs first. One never calls back. The committee meets on Sunday with only the written quotation to go on.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph
Waterproofing contractor marketing makes your firm the applicator that builders, consultants and apartment committees trust with basements, podium decks, tanks and bathrooms. Sales is the leak survey, the method statement and the work order. GullySales prepares the project record, the survey form and the quotation log for each enquiry.
New construction and leak repair are two different jobs with two different buyers. On new buildings the specification comes from a consultant and the builder's purchase team buys. On old buildings a frightened owner or a committee wants the leak to stop and wants to know why the last person failed.

How buyers decide
How waterproofing contractors are chosen.
For new projects the structural or architectural consultant writes the waterproofing specification and may name a system or a chemical brand. The builder's purchase team then asks approved applicators for rates. Being on the brand's list of trained applicators, and having handled basements and podium decks of similar size, gets you into the room.
For leaks in existing buildings the owner searches Google for terms like basement leakage treatment or terrace waterproofing, then compares who responded, who visited and who wrote down what they would do. A committee cares about a written scope and a stated guarantee period more than the brand of chemical.
Repeat work comes from one builder with many phases, or one society that recommends you to the next. A contractor who comes back to fix a failure without an argument is the one people recommend.
The problem
What usually goes wrong for waterproofing contractors.
What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.
“Consultants specify the system and we only hear after it is decided”
The waterproofing is already written into the tender by the time the purchase team asks for rates, and we are one of five quoting on someone else's choice.
“Leak enquiries ask for a rate before anyone has seen the wall”
A caller wants a per-square-foot figure on the phone. If we give it we lose the margin, and if we do not they call someone else.
“Past failures of other contractors make buyers suspicious of us too”
A committee that was burnt once asks for a long guarantee and a low rate. We have no way to show our own completed jobs.
“Our best jobs are underground and nobody sees them”
A finished basement waterproofing looks like a wall. We have photographs of the work only if someone remembered to take them before the screed went on.
“The same brand enquiry reaches several applicators”
When a dealer or brand passes one enquiry to more than one applicator nearby, we compete on who calls first.
“Quotes go out and nothing follows”
The quotation sits with the committee secretary through two meetings, and nobody on our side asks what was decided.
What we do
What we do for waterproofing contractors.
Everything included for waterproofing contractors.
A layer-by-layer photo record for every job
Surface preparation, primer, membrane, protection course and flood test, each photographed with date and location, kept in a folder per site.
A leak survey form and written scope
Location, source of moisture, what you found, method proposed, materials, and guarantee period if you give one, on one page the owner can show a committee.
A page for each area of the building
Basement, podium, terrace, tanks, bathrooms and expansion joints, each written for the person who has that problem, with finished examples from your jobs.
A first-reply routine for WhatsApp photographs
Three questions and a request for photographs go out from your own phone, then a site visit is booked and the quotation follows the visit.
An introduction for consultants and builders
A short pack listing the systems you apply, the brands that have trained your crew and the sites of comparable size, sent to the people who write specifications.
A guarantee register
Each job with its stated guarantee period, if you give one, the owner's contact and the date it ends.
How the result is measured
- Leak enquiries by source
- Surveys booked from enquiries
- Quotations sent against jobs booked
- Consultant and builder conversations opened
- Jobs referred by earlier customers
- Time taken to reply to a photograph sent on WhatsApp
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
Every service, written for waterproofing contractors
Each has its own page: what it involves for waterproofing contractors, what you get, and what it is measured on.
- Lead generationBring in leak surveys and tender invitations that match the work your crew does best.
- SEOAppear when an owner types the exact leak they are looking at.
- Local SEOShow up on the map when a committee searches for a waterproofing firm near the building.
- Social media marketingShow the layers and the flood test so the work can be seen before it is buried.
- Content marketingWrite the guide the committee secretary forwards before anyone calls a contractor.
- Buyer personasWrite down who actually decides a waterproofing job, and what each of them reads.
- CRMKeep every leak survey, quotation and guarantee date in one record.
- Follow-up systemsAsk what the committee decided before another applicator does.
- WhatsApp marketingTurn a photograph of a damp wall into a booked survey.
- Digital marketingPut search, maps, WhatsApp and your photographs to work for the same leak enquiry.
- WebsiteBuild a site that shows the work, the method and the form to book a survey.
Worth a page and a campaign of their own
Photographs of waterproofing at each layer, before cover · Written scope for every leak survey · Pages for basement, podium, tank and bathroom work · Approved applicator listings with brands you are trained on · Consultant and builder introductions for new projects · A reply routine for leak enquiries sent by WhatsApp · Follow-up on every quotation after committee meetings · A record of every job's guarantee period and its end date
Priority campaigns
Campaigns for what waterproofing contractors most want to sell.
Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.
Pre-monsoon terrace and podium campaign
Search ads and WhatsApp messages to societies and homeowners just before the rains, with a page explaining how to check for early signs of seepage.
Basement leakage search campaign
Google Ads for basement waterproofing and seepage repair near your city, landing on a page with before-and-after photographs of your own jobs and a form asking for the area and the building age.
Consultant and builder specification campaign
Outreach to structural consultants and builders' project teams with a short note on the systems you apply and sites you have finished.
Society committee reference campaign
A thank-you and follow-up message to committees whose jobs you have completed, asking for an introduction to neighbouring societies.
Beyond search
Where we reach buyers of waterproofing contractors, beyond Google.
Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.
Structural and architectural consultants
Consultancies designing buildings in your area, listed by name, each get a profile of the systems your crew is trained on.
Builders' project and purchase teams
Every project has a basement and a podium, so the builder buys waterproofing again and again. The pitch rests on finished sites of similar size.
Apartment association secretaries and facility managers
The secretary hears of seepage before anyone else. A short note on leak checks and the survey you offer is something to forward to the committee.
Chemical brand dealers
A dealer passes enquiries to applicators it knows. A profile of your crew, trained brands and finished sites, left with the counter staff, gets you known.
Plumbing and civil contractors
The plumber who opens a wall and finds seepage is asked who can fix it. A referral note and a one-page leaflet are left with that plumber.
Who it is for
This is written for these waterproofing contractors.
- Basement and sump waterproofing contractors

It is not the right fit if.
- You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
- You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
- You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.
How it works
How the work runs for waterproofing contractors
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1

- 2
Record the work properly
The photograph routine and the survey form are set up so every job from now on produces proof.
- 3
Build pages and listings
Pages for each area of the building go live, and your Google Business Profile is updated with real job photographs.
- 4
Approach the people who specify
Consultants, builders and brand dealers hear from you with a pack built from your finished sites.
- 5
Chase every quotation
A log shows which quotes are waiting on a committee decision and who asked for what.
