Solar installation companies · Email marketing

Keep writing to the committee between two meetings a month apart.

Email is where the slow solar decisions live: the housing society committee, the factory owner and his accountant, and the customer whose system was installed two summers ago. GullySales writes the sequences for each, ties them to meeting dates and service seasons, and keeps homeowners on WhatsApp where they answer.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For solar installation companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A committee decides between meetings, not in them”

The month in between is when your document is read and questioned, and it is the only month you can influence.

  • “The accountant reads before the factory owner signs”

So the proposal mail has to carry the payback sheet and the component list in a form he can check line by line.

  • “Installed customers are your quietest asset”

Cleaning, an inverter upgrade, a battery, and the neighbour who has been asking them for months. None of that happens without a mail.

What we do

What we deliver for solar installation companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A society sequence timed to their meetings

Mails to the committee contact after the proposal, a fortnight before the next meeting and after a decision is deferred, each carrying one document they asked for.

Result: You stay in a decision that takes three months.

  2. A commercial proposal mail with the working attached

The payback sheet, generation estimate, component list and finance options in one mail written to be forwarded to an accountant.

Result: The people you never meet can evaluate you.

  3. Two follow-up mails written before the quote goes out

Dated mails carrying the answers to the common objections about roof leaks, panel brands and warranty support, ready so nobody has to compose them in season.

Result: Silent quotes get a proper second hearing.

  4. A service season mail to every installed customer

Cleaning and inspection offers before the dusty months and after the rains, with the monitoring check and any upgrade worth considering.

Result: Past customers produce revenue and referrals.

  5. One list built from your own records

Enquiries, quotes, committees, commercial contacts and installed customers in a single list with consent noted, an unsubscribe in place and bounces cleared.

Result: The mail arrives where it is meant to.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a solar installer needs in place before it emails a society committee, a factory owner or an installed customer.

A list with three kinds of contact
Residential customers, housing society committees and factory decision makers need different mails. Mark each contact by type and by the stage of the quote.
Consent taken at the site survey
Note that the contact agreed to receive the quote and follow-up by email and WhatsApp. A person who gave details for a subsidy form has not agreed to promotional mail.
System details in the customer record
For each installed customer keep the capacity, the inverter make, the date of commissioning and the net metering status. A service reminder needs those facts.
Quote working that an accountant can read
Commercial proposals should attach the generation estimate, the cost, the payback assumptions and the tariff used, with the assumptions stated. Do not mail a payback figure without its working.
Subsidy and scheme wording checked
Rules for subsidies and net metering change by state and by scheme. Use words such as 'check the current rules for your state' and link to the official source.
Meeting dates for societies
A committee meets on set dates. Record the next meeting, the secretary's name and what was asked, so each mail lands before a decision, not after.

Who it is for

This is written for these solar installation companies.

  • Residential rooftop installers working with the PM Surya Ghar scheme
  • Housing society and apartment rooftop specialists
  • Commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop EPC companies
  • Ground-mounted and open access solar developers
  • Solar water heater and solar pump dealers

  • Brand-authorised solar dealers and franchisees
  • Operations and maintenance and panel cleaning services

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the email marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your list

We review who is on the list, how they got there, and how long it has been since they last heard from you.

  2. 2

    Audit past sends

We check open and click rates from past emails to see what has and has not worked.

  3. 3

    Segment and plan

The list is split into meaningful groups and a sending calendar is agreed.

  4. 4

    Implement content and automation

Emails are written, scheduled and, where useful, set to trigger automatically based on behaviour.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track performance and adjust subject lines, timing and content based on what the list responds to.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do homeowners read email at all?
Rarely for anything that matters. Use email for the quotation and the documents, and use WhatsApp for the conversation and the reminders.
How often should we write to a society that keeps deferring?
Once a month, tied to their meeting cycle, and each time with something new such as a nearby installation or an updated figure. Weekly chasing gets you ignored.
Can we quote a subsidy amount in a mail?
Only if you point to the current official scheme and say that the amount depends on the state, the system size and approval. Rules change. Say 'check the current subsidy rules' and attach the official link. A wrong figure in writing becomes a complaint.
Should the first mail to a housing society be long?
No. The secretary forwards it to a committee. Write a short note with the roof area you saw, a one-page proposal attached, and an offer to present at the next meeting. Avoid dense technical detail the members will not read.
Can you get us more PM Surya Ghar customers?
We can make you easier to find and choose once a homeowner has applied. A homeowner scrolling the vendor list will usually search your name next, and your page and Maps reviews decide the call. The scheme's rules and approvals stay with the portal and your DISCOM.
Our enquiries only come in summer. Can that change?
Partly. Starting campaigns before bills rise spreads the surveys out, and the monsoon is the right time for maintenance and upgrade offers to past customers. Solar demand will always be seasonal, so the plan works with it rather than against it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
