Furniture stores and retailers · Review generation

Ask for the review once the fitter has gone and the room looks right.

For a furniture store the review is written about the delivery and the assembly, not the sofa. That is the moment to ask, and it is also the moment most stores have already moved on to the next order. GullySales sets the ask into the installation sign-off and writes the reply to the bad ones.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What review generation means

Review generation is the routine of asking satisfied customers to leave a Google or platform review at the moment they are happiest, rather than hoping they remember later. GullySales builds the request into your existing follow-up steps and tracks how many turn into a review.

For furniture stores and retailers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The review is about the date you gave, not the fabric”

A customer who waited six weeks for a wardrobe and found two scratched panels will write about those, whatever the quality of the wood. Ask at the point the fitter has finished and the customer has looked at the finished room, not at billing.

  • “A photograph of the customer's own room sells the next sofa”

A review with a picture of a real living room in a real flat does more than any catalogue image, because the next buyer is trying to imagine your piece in a space the size of hers. Ask for the photograph in the same message as the review.

  • “Your Google reviews and your marketplace ratings are read by different buyers”

A retail customer checks Maps before driving to the showroom. A dealer or a builder checks your IndiaMART rating before sending a bulk enquiry. Both need asking for, and the same customer rarely writes in both places.

What we do

What we deliver for furniture stores and retailers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. The ask built into the installation sign-off

The fitter or the delivery supervisor asks once the room is set up and the customer has seen it, followed by a message with the link.

Result: You ask at the one moment the customer is most pleased.

  2. A request that asks for a room photograph too

Wording that invites the customer to add a picture of the finished room, with a line about where the photograph may be used.

Result: Your review page fills with real rooms instead of catalogue shots.

  3. A reply routine for the delayed-delivery review

A written approach to answering a complaint about a missed date: what went wrong, and what you have changed about how the date is quoted.

Result: A one-star review reads as a store that fixed something.

  4. Reviews asked for on both retail and trade platforms

A separate ask for showroom buyers on Maps and for dealers or builders on the marketplace listing they came through.

Result: Each kind of buyer finds a rating where they actually look.

  5. A count of reviews against deliveries completed

A simple check of how many of the month's completed installations produced a review, by showroom and by fitting team.

Result: You can see which team is not asking.

How the result is measured

  • Reviews received
  • Average rating
  • Response rate to requests

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Asking for reviews the right way

Ask when the last piece is in place and the customer is sitting on it, not at the measurement visit or the billing desk.

The measurement visit is not the moment
Do not ask here. The customer has paid an advance and is worried about delay. Use the visit to promise only a date you can keep, because that date is what they will review.
Last piece in place
Ask after the sofa is placed, the cushions are on and the customer has sat on it. Waiting until the invoice is paid at the counter loses the moment.
A code on the signed challan
Print the Google review code on the delivery challan the customer signs. It sits in their hand at the right moment and takes no extra staff time.
Piece and room named
Suggest the customer say what they bought and which room it went into, like a recliner in a small living room. That is what the next shopper types into search.
Mattress and bed buyers
A mattress is judged after some nights of sleep. For beds and mattresses, send the link on WhatsApp a few days after delivery, with a line asking whether the trial is going well.
Cancelled and refunded orders
Never message a customer who cancelled or took a refund, and never ask one still waiting past the promised date. Settle the order first.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the review generation work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the customer journey

We identify one fixed point in your service, such as handover or checkout, where every customer is asked in the same way.

  2. 2

    Read your current reviews

We read every review you have, count how many were answered, and note what customers praise in their own words.

  3. 3

    Set up the ask process

Templates and a simple sending process are built into your existing customer communication.

  4. 4

    Implement responses

Every incoming review, positive or negative, is responded to by the routine set down in writing after we have spoken to you.

  5. 5

    Measure and adjust

We track review volume and rating trend and adjust the ask timing if response rates are low.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should the delivery team be the ones asking?
Yes, because they are the last people the customer sees and the review is mostly about them. Give them one line to say and let the showroom send the link afterwards, so the fitter is not fiddling with a phone in someone's living room.
A customer has posted about a delivery that ran late. Do we reply?
Reply, briefly, without explaining the transport situation. Say what the date should have been, what you have changed in how you quote delivery, and offer to speak. The next buyer is reading that reply to work out what happens if it goes wrong for her.
A customer said they will review us later. What do we do?
Send the link on WhatsApp the same evening so it is easy to find, and leave it there. A promise to do it later usually means the customer is busy, not unwilling. A repeated chase is more likely to produce irritation than a review.
Should we ask in the customer's own language?
Yes. Ask in the language they used at the showroom, whether Telugu, Hindi or English, and keep the request short. The review itself can be in any language. A line in their own tongue makes the ask sound like a favour between neighbours rather than a form.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
