Furniture stores and retailers · Sales process

Give every showroom visit a next step, all the way to delivery.

A sales process for a furniture store is the fixed steps between a showroom visit and delivery, covering follow-up, measurement and delay updates. GullySales writes it with your showroom team so no order goes cold in the gap.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What sales process means

A sales process is the fixed sequence of steps, such as enquiry, site visit, quote and order, that every deal is expected to pass through in the same order. GullySales writes this sequence down for your business and checks that every salesperson actually follows it.

For furniture stores and retailers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Walk-ins get a same-day follow-up”

A customer who leaves without ordering gets a message that evening, not a wait to see if they return.

  • “Measurement scheduling has a fixed turnaround”

A booked measurement visit within a set number of days keeps the decision from stalling.

  • “Delay updates are proactive, not reactive”

A customer told about a delay before asking trusts the store more than one who has to chase an answer.

What we do

What we deliver for furniture stores and retailers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Walk-in follow-up step

A fixed step for following up a customer who leaves without ordering, before they consider another store.

Result: A walk-in hears from you instead of being left to decide alone.

  2. Measurement booking turnaround target

A turnaround target agreed with your showroom team for booking a measurement visit once it is requested.

Result: A booked measurement date stops the decision from stalling.

  3. Proactive delay notice step

A step requiring that a customer be told about a delay before they have to ask.

Result: A customer learns of a delay from you, not by chasing you.

  4. Customisation confirmation checklist

A checklist confirming customisation details and cost with the customer before the order is finalised.

Result: A customisation order is confirmed without a later dispute.

How the result is measured

  • Deals following the process
  • Time spent at each step
  • Drop-off rate by step

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Steps of a sale

Carry a sofa or wardrobe buyer from the showroom floor to the delivered piece in fixed steps.

Showroom walk-in
Ask about the room, its size, who else will decide and the budget. Note the pieces they sat on or handled, and take their number with their permission.
Measurement visit
For a modular kitchen or wardrobe, measure the walls, check plumbing and electrical points and photograph the space. Record the measurements on a signed sheet the customer also keeps.
Design and quote
Send the 3D layout or the fabric and finish choices with the quote, naming the board, the hardware brand and the laminate. Note each change asked for, with the date of each revision.
Order and advance
Confirm the order with the advance, the final drawing and the fabric swatch number. Record the delivery estimate you gave, so the customer hears the same date from everyone.
Delivery and installation
Check the lift size or staircase width before dispatch, and send the installer with the drawing. Note any snag list at handover and the date each item is put right.
After delivery
Ask for a photograph of the finished room and a review. Note the next likely purchase, such as a bed or a dining set, against the customer's name.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the sales process work runs

  1. 1

    Study current deal flow

We trace how deals actually move today, comparing across reps and outcomes.

  2. 2

    Define the stages

Clear stages and criteria are designed to match how deals genuinely progress and close.

  3. 3

    Configure the CRM

The process is built into your CRM so it is enforced structurally, not just documented.

  4. 4

    Train the team

Reps are trained on the new process and why each stage exists.

  5. 5

    Review adoption

We check after rollout whether the process is being followed and adjust where it is not.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can existing staff run this?
Yes, we usually write it as a short checklist for whoever already handles walk-ins and calls.
How do we handle customisation requests?
A clear step confirming details and cost before the order is finalised avoids later disputes.
A customer shows us a cheaper price online for the same sofa. What do we do?
Ask for the listing and compare the frame wood, foam density, fabric and delivery terms line by line. An online price may leave out assembly or delivery. If it really is the same piece, decide your price-match rule once and write it down, rather than letting each salesperson decide.
Should the salesperson who met the customer also go on the measurement visit?
Where possible, yes, or send them with the measuring staff. The customer explained what they wanted to that person, and a stranger at the door starts the conversation again. Put the salesperson's name on the order, so questions after delivery reach someone who knows the history.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
