Inverter, UPS and generator dealers · Lead generation

Ask how many fans before you quote a battery price.

Lead generation for a power backup dealer is about turning a one-line price enquiry into a sized requirement, and about calling the customers whose batteries are due. GullySales sets up the sizing questions, the quotation routine for industrial enquiries, and the record of what you have already installed.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For inverter, UPS and generator dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The best lead list is the one in your invoice book”

Every inverter you installed has a battery with an end date, and that customer is a buyer again without any advertising.

  • “An unsized enquiry becomes a price comparison”

A customer quoted a figure before anyone asks about load will take the cheapest number, then blame you when the backup falls short.

  • “Industrial enquiries arrive through a consultant”

A genset requirement often comes from an electrical consultant or a facility head with a load sheet, and that enquiry needs a site visit before any price.

What we do

What we deliver for inverter, UPS and generator dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Sizing questions asked before any price

A short set of questions on the load, the backup hours and the wiring, saved as a WhatsApp reply and used on every call.

Result: You quote the right system instead of the cheapest.

  2. An installed-base record with battery due dates

Every installation recorded with the product, capacity, date and expected replacement window, built from your invoices.

Result: You can call a customer before the battery fails.

  3. A quotation format for UPS and gensets

A standard quotation covering capacity, brand, compliance documents, installation scope, delivery and AMC, ready within a day of the site visit.

Result: Industrial buyers get a complete quote first.

  4. Directory enquiries on a fixed routine

IndiaMART and similar inboxes checked twice a day, with a reply template for capacity enquiries and a note of what was quoted.

Result: A bulk enquiry is answered before a competitor's.

  5. An enquiry log by source and product

Walk-ins, calls, Maps, directories and referrals logged separately with the product and the outcome.

Result: You can see which source brings paying work.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

The places a power backup dealer's enquiries arrive, and what to record at each.

Phone call asking the price of a battery or inverter
Record the load, the backup hours, the old battery's make and its age. Give a range after the sizing questions, and note the customer's number against the model discussed.
Shop visit for a new inverter
Write the rooms to run, the appliances and the space for the battery on the visit sheet. Note whether the house wiring is separated for backup.
Battery replacement due call from your own records
Use the installed-base record to call customers whose battery is due. Note the model, the date it was fitted and the last service, and offer a visit.
Outage-season spike in enquiries
After a long power cut, calls rise and buyers want an answer. Keep a saved reply with the sizing questions and mark the date, so you can see how many came from the cut.
Electrician or builder referral
Record who sent the customer and the site. A builder fitting a block of flats may need many inverters, so ask about the other units.
Commercial UPS or generator enquiry
Note the load in kVA, the critical equipment, the fuel and the space. Visit before quoting, and ask who will service the unit, since a generator needs it.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the lead generation work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Customers only ask the price. How do we change that?
Answer with two prices and the reason they differ, then ask what the system has to run. A buyer with a real requirement engages. One hunting for the lowest number moves on, which saves your technician a wasted visit.
How do we build the installed-base record from old invoices?
Start with the last three years only, entered from your invoice books with the product, capacity and date. That is the group whose batteries come due next. Older records can follow once the routine is running.
A customer wants an inverter for a whole house. What do we ask first?
Ask which rooms and appliances must run, the number of backup hours and whether the house has separate wiring for them. Whole-house backup is large and costly. Record the answers, then suggest a smaller circuit if the budget is limited.
How do we record a customer who bought a cheaper inverter elsewhere and now has problems?
Note the make, the age and the fault, and offer a check without pressing a sale. Record the visit and the advice given. A customer whose cheap unit has failed remembers who was honest, and often buys the next battery from you.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
