Clothing stores and boutiques · Lead generation

Turn the price question in your DMs into a fitting appointment.

Lead generation for a boutique means treating a saved post and a one-word DM as an enquiry worth answering and recording. GullySales sets up the WhatsApp routine, the qualifying questions about occasion and date, and the appointment book that turns a price question into a visit.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For clothing stores and boutiques

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The enquiry is one word long”

A DM that says price arrives with no size, occasion or date, and the shop that asks those three questions back is the one that gets the fitting.

  • “A date makes the enquiry urgent or worthless”

A woman whose sister marries in three weeks needs an answer today, and one shopping for next Diwali can wait. The two should not sit in the same list.

  • “Uniform enquiries come through a different door”

A school or a hospital sends a requirement by email or a call to the office months before the order, and that enquiry never appears in your Instagram inbox.

What we do

What we deliver for clothing stores and boutiques.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp catalogue split by occasion

Collections loaded into WhatsApp Business under bridal, festival, everyday and kids, so a price question is answered with pictures and a range in one reply.

Result: A shopper gets the answer while the interest is fresh.

  2. Three questions asked on every enquiry

Saved replies asking the occasion, the date and the size before a price is quoted, used by whoever is answering messages that day.

Result: You know within two messages whether an order is near.

  3. An appointment book for fittings and trials

Fitting and trial slots booked by name, with a WhatsApp reminder the day before, instead of telling a customer to drop in sometime.

Result: A booked slot brings the customer in, and the shop knows who is coming.

  4. A separate list for uniform and bulk requirements

School, hospital, hotel and office enquiries tracked with the sample sent, the sizes needed and the date the institution decides.

Result: A uniform enquiry is followed up on the institution's calendar.

  5. An enquiry record with the occasion and the date

Every enquiry logged with where it came from, the occasion and the event date, reviewed against the sales that followed.

Result: You can tell which channel brings buyers and which brings browsers.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

The places an order enquiry reaches a boutique, and what to record at each.

An Instagram DM about an outfit
Record the post that prompted it, the occasion and the date they need it. Reply with the size range, the fabric and an invitation to see it in the shop.
A WhatsApp price enquiry
Ask the occasion, the size and the date before quoting. Send the catalogue pictures for that occasion, and note the reply in the customer list.
A walk-in shopper
Write down the name, the number and what the shopper looked at, even if the shopper leaves without buying. Offer to send a message when the matching stock arrives.
A bridal or wedding party booking
Record the date, the number of outfits, the family members involved and the fittings needed. Confirm each item and the advance in writing.
A school, hospital or office uniform request
Record the institution, the person in charge, the sizes and the delivery date. Send a sample and a written quote with the renewal date noted.
A repeat customer's call before a festival
Link to the last purchase and the size. Offer to show new arrivals for the occasion and record what the customer bought for the next festival.

Who it is for

This is written for these clothing stores and boutiques.

  • Women's ethnic wear and saree boutiques
  • Designer and occasion wear studios
  • Multi-brand clothing and accessories stores
  • Men's wear and ethnic wear stores
  • Custom tailoring and blouse stitching studios
  • Kids' wear stores
  • School uniform retailers and suppliers
  • Corporate, hospital and hospitality uniform suppliers
  • Fashion accessories and jewellery boutiques

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Nobody in the shop is free to book a fitting, so more enquiries would only pile up unanswered.
  • You sell only walk-in stock at a fixed price and take no orders, so there is no enquiry to capture.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How fast should we reply to a DM?
Within shop hours, the same hour. A shopper asking about a lehenga is messaging three boutiques at once, and the first useful reply gets the visit. Saved replies with a price range let one person handle a busy evening.
Most people ask the price and disappear. Is that normal?
It is, when a number is the only thing sent back. Answer with a range, a photograph and a question about the event date. The conversation continues and you learn whether the shopper is buying this month.
How do we record Instagram enquiries that never leave a phone number?
Reply with a question that invites a number, such as sharing the catalogue on WhatsApp. Record the account name and the post. If the shopper gives no number, note it as unconfirmed, and do not chase more than once.
Which customers should be on the festival list?
Anyone who has bought for a festival, a wedding or a school year, with the occasion and the date of purchase. Write to them before the next such occasion, mentioning what they bought last time, with their agreement to be contacted.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
